Thank you to everyone who’s been connecting with me through our GATHER & GROW meetings, both Mums & Small Business Owners 🌿✨

So far it’s been so positive & an incredible feeling to be bringing people together again. I’m now working on sharing March dates with you all.

Sorry if I don’t reply straight away to DM’s. At the moment I’m having two sole workings days a week, and these are filled with lots of work towards the rebrand & new website. Back to doing what I love best ☺️🤍✨

The girls are out having the best day in the sunshine with family ~ which means a FULL day creating pieces in our gorgeous fabrics for

s p r i n g s u m m e r 2 2

& it feels sooo good! Nearly all of the new fabrics have arrived for the spring collection too 🙏 it’s so exciting finally seeing it all start coming together so beautifully.

My wonderful Mum is also over (with the family sewing machine) so we’re working as a team today to sew, sew, sew!! Sunshine is pouring in, bifolds open for lots of fresh air & music is on… I cannot wait to show you more of what we’re working on.

Our sweet tie dresses & tops will be back 😍 & just how dreamy do they look in this soft linen 🕊

STAY & PLAY 🧸☕️🥐

Are you looking for a kind & friendly drop in group, to meet new local people (who happen to be parents too)?!

We are so excited to launch our Stay & Play group ~ a space for the children to play & the chance to hopefully* (I can’t promise the little ones will let us) relax & restore with a warm drink & pastry. Along with meeting other likeminded parents who too love nothing better than getting together for a catch up, chatting all things life, parenthood & more..

Personally I find groups quite hard to connect with others ~ as everyone seems to already have their friends theirs or you’re so busy taking part in the class & then have to dash, so never get the chance to chat or ask anyones name.. Therefore these sessions will be opposite ~ really informal, all about making connections & enjoying seeing the children having some free play around other little ones too :)

~ Parking is available on site
~ Refreshments will be provided
~ A selection of toys for the little ones
~ Space to sit down & connect with other parents too
~ A kind & welcoming monthly group
~ £4 contribution to pay on arrival

The first session will be a soft launch to see how things run (timings, set up etc) ~ we also have very exciting things planned all supporting You & the Little Ones ☺️

GATHER & GROW 🤍
People may ask why I’m now organising gatherings?!

Well for me it’s just part of me & my business ~ Going back to my ethos & brand identity, offering a service (whether it’s a product or a gathering) to make people feel loved, special and connected is at the heart of .dottie.designs . Organising gatherings is just an expansion of our physical products 🤍 I love bringing people together & feeling like I’m doing that little bit more for a community!

Last night we hosted our Mama Night Off, and what a lovely night off it was!! I’m very thankful to those that made the time to come along and connect with me ~ I feel soo refreshed, just knowing I’m not going through this alone ~ it was incredible just to have simple conversations about everyday life too! I hope you all had a wonderful evening too 🍷🧀

It’s such a lovely chance to surround yourself with people who are on a similar journey. Quite often we’ve crossed paths before, but always been too busy working to actually chat & get to know one another. Our catch ups are a great chance to schedule in some time out, build friendships & support one another.. (& just feel part of something!!)

You’ll soon find that we’re all working with similar tools, probably all frustrated with Instagram (so you’re definitely not alone in this) & we all love sharing what we’ve found really useful recently too… in the hope that it might help others also.

CONNECTIONS ~ I’m lucky enough to have made so many friendships from connecting with people through my small business 🤍

There’s also been so many times since becoming a Mother that I’ve felt isolated, lonely & not knowing who to talk to… ever so much since staying at home with the girls, running this business & doing a lot by myself.. (not to mention lockdowns & covid)!! So I’m very thankful for this business bringing me together with others ☺️

Reflecting on this & how I’ve felt, I really want to turn this into a positive, through hosting our GATHER & GROW events ~ to help others to feel connected & have a support network too.

We have lots of exciting gatherings coming up ☺️☕️🥂 all around doing things you love, taking time for yourself & finding a group of people who get you and your little ones! Please do (if you’d love to) take the time for you, step out of your comfort zone & come along ☺️

I’ve honestly found just taking a couple of hours out of our busy lives the past few weeks to meet new people, really refreshing & positive. Thank you to those that have come along to our walk & talks’ already!!

I really hope that even a few people find this helpful 🙏

We’ve have a wonderful long weekend full of birthday celebrations for the little one ~ how is it even possible that she’s ONE whole year old?! Feeling rather emotional, with all the busyness around new business ventures, planning the new collection, working with seamstresses, planning birthdays & more ~ I don’t think it’s reallly sunk in yet.

Half term here too now ~ trying to make the most of the slow days with both girls at home… but my goodness this Mama needs five minutes peace too 😂 time to connect, reflect and just be present ✨

planned in for Tuesday ♥️🥂
