We love science.
Experimenting is fun & interesting.
Now for the educational part of how science affects our everyday life.
How science is manipulated to give an answer that suits your narrative.
How long does a flower stay in bloom? We can make that answer a day, week or month.
What other can we add to this conversation. Going through them with my 9 year old they came up with….

A- Activist. Let’s not just blindly believe what the label says

C- Capitalism. Selling you something that you may not need for profit

E- Education . We’re doing a science experiment

H- History. When, why & who started to give selected information and who speaks with honesty (jump to N- Native)

J- Justice. Is it fair that people manipulate information to gain power

K- Knowledge. We can protect ourselves with understanding this

M- Mistake. When people/companies are caught doing bad things, they call it a mistake but let’s (Q) question that.

N- Native. Who shall we learn from that’s honest & knowledgeable

O- Propaganda. A good example of understanding propaganda

Q- Don’t be a sheep, questioning is the start

T- trees. The flowers from the trees have provided our material

X- Xenophobia. How people have been used for science experiments.

Y- Yourself. Caring about yourself and others enough to question what you’re being told.

W- war. Playing a part in scientific experiments

I make cards not books because we need to be able to change what letters sit side by side.

Educate them on the history so they’re knowledgeable on the colonial control of the world, how this affects us in other ways & what the real intentions of transphobic community members are.

Due to lived experience I no longer discuss racism with people it doesn’t affect.
This summer was difficult and a reminder of why I bring up my black children in Grenada.
Sleepless nights- hot nights with windows closed incase someone had seen where “the Black family were staying” and throw fire bombs through the windows. We think with a logic and calmness because sadly this was nothing new. I felt love from the friends who said they’d find us somewhere to stay, our world grows smaller but stronger. Watching more multicultural cities take a stand with people power- never police power, so many emotions the feeling of love and hate all at once. Don’t be shocked for us it’s meaningless, designed to make you think your not part of the problem. Use your energy to make a change or be honest state you care but not enough to do anything about it.

I am thankful that our home has little damage. Hurricane Beryl tore through our tiny Island destroying doing extreme damage to our sister islands Carricou & Petite Martinique.
This is climate change & these tiny islands are not the ones responsible but the ones who have to deal with the consequences.

From now until August £10 for every pack of Citizen of the World Alphabet cards sold will be donated to the Grenada relief fund.
