I went back to the workshop… and most of them had already gone!!!! 😱

A few weeks ago I shared some of the crocodile hides Adrian and I had pulled from the racks for a limited Skive & Stitch collection.

Curiosity got the better of me, so I stopped by the workshop again to see how things were progressing.

What I wasn’t expecting was to find that one of our VIP customers had already snapped up the blue crocodile wallet before we’d even had chance to officially release it.

What remained on the bench were these stunning card holders and matching keyrings, handcrafted from the same carefully selected hides.

The beauty of working with genuine crocodile leather is that every piece tells a different story. The scale patterns, texture and character can never be repeated, making every item completely unique to its owner.

These aren’t products we’ll ever produce in volume.

They’re the result of finding exceptional hides, placing them in the hands of a master craftsman, and creating something that simply can’t be replicated.

And this is only the beginning…

There are still a few very special pieces in production that haven’t left the workshop yet.

It’s easy to assume a leather hide can only become one thing.

In reality, the same premium leather can be transformed into entirely different designs, each with its own character and purpose.

One becomes a traditional hand-braided belt, rich with texture and craftsmanship. Another becomes a clean, classic English belt designed to age beautifully over decades of wear.

Yesterday I walked the factory floor and handpicked a selection of extraordinary crocodile skins — slate blue, deep crimson, natural tan and charcoal — leathers that tell their own story before a single cut is made.
I’ve handed them to Adrian with one brief: make something unforgettable.
We’re talking a truly limited run of handcrafted belts, wallets, card holders and keyrings — each piece unique, each one made by hand here in Northampton from skins that won’t come around again.
No two pieces alike. No restock. No second chances.

Inside every Skive & Stitch box is more than just a belt.

You’ll find a handwritten craftsman sign-off card showing who made your belt, the leather used, and the date it left our workshop. It’s our way of standing behind every piece we create.

The leather fastening strap and heritage brass popper keep the belt secured inside the box during transit, while the handcrafted leather keyring is included as a thank you from our workshop to you.

Small details matter to us.
Because true craftsmanship should feel personal from the moment the box is opened.
