PLEASE SWIPE TO READ!! To our wonderful customers and friends,
It’s with truly heavy hearts that, after 46 unforgettable years, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to close the doors of Ginger at our beautiful, beloved and historic Timberhill home.
We have weathered many storms over the decades, but the ongoing challenges of today’s financial climate—coupled with the lasting impact and huge shifts within the retail landscape since Covid—have led us to ask: does it still work for us? After deep reflection, the answer, sadly, is no.
For nearly half a century (which still amazes us!), you—our loyal customers—have been at the heart of everything. You have welcomed us into your lives, trusted us, and joined us in the ULTIMATE game of dress-up for 46 years! We have had the privilege of watching generations grow, celebrating your precious life milestones, sharing your joys and your deepest sorrows. Being part of your stories has been beyond a privilege—more than some of you may ever know. You have always been more than just customers—you’ve become wonderful friends.
Every visit, every spontaneous purchase (as we always say, “sorry not sorry”… we often joked that is what we should rename the shop!), every heartfelt chat, and every tear—happy or sad—meant the world to us. Ginger was never just about clothes. It was about the connections, the fabulous community, and the love shared—all together lifting women up when they needed it. We are eternally grateful for your extraordinary support through all these years. This hasn’t just been a job—it has been a journey, and quite a one at that. We’ve been lucky to live just a moment in time within our stunning 350-year-old building, still noticing new, magical details even after all these years. No. 35, you are a true beauty—we will miss you deeply, but we know you will make a wonderful home for the next adventures to grace your walls. CONTINUE IN COMMENTS……..
