What’s the most overrated running shoe in Sportlink?

We put Mark Thorpe on the spot again, and this time he’s going to upset a few adidas fans!

His choice? The hugely popular Evo SL.

Now, Mark isn’t saying it’s a bad shoe - far from it.

But he’s seen plenty of runners buy into the online hype, only to discover it isn’t quite right for them.

For just £10 more, there’s another adidas shoe he’d personally choose for tempo running…

New shoes… PB attempt incoming!

Great to see Lara King in Sportlink this week, who left us with a pair of On Cloudmonster 3 Hyper.

She’s planning to give them their first outing at Eaton this week, where she’s hoping to dip under 22 minutes for a new 5K PB.

If you’re running Eaton, give the girl some room… she’s got a time to chase! 😉

How many pairs of running shoes do you actually need?

His answer? If you’re just starting out, one good pair could be absolutely fine.

As your running develops, there might be benefits to rotating shoes or adding something more specific for racing, sessions or trails.

The latest Snail & Pace is out!

Logan takes us through his superb 63:37 at the Manchester Half, where he finished sixth, broke records and somehow became known as an ‘ultra runner’.

Meanwhile, Mark’s Peterborough Half went rather less successfully…
