We are buying nearly all our stock from original owners nowadays. It means we have more control on how much has been done to the puppets in terms of renovations and restorations. We think if you are paying hundreds of pounds for a single puppet, you need to know you have a valuable asset for possible resale in years to come.
We have some lovely condition puppets from early 60's from a single collection owned from new.

It's twins! We have had two sets of twins to the shop! Don't you just love them?! Or is it just me😆
So, I do wonder if the artist at the factory in late 40's and there were only a few at the time, was the same person, what do you think?

Type SL Tiger with 1963 tag on his trousers. The Tiger has some very minor ageing to the red trousers and green scarf. The green scarf is stapled deep inside the trousers, I haven't seen this before, usually the scarf has become loose. The synthetic animal fur is very good with no thinning or damage...

The rarer puppets that come to the shop are often difficult to sell when I know there are two or more very keen collectors waiting to buy. I would give details the puppet was coming but it still meant I would have disappointed collectors who missed out. I now have a way to sell via the members only....
