I hate to write this, and it’s by no means a pity post, just a little bit of what’s going on right now. I’m very close to closing the website.

I’ve not been getting enough orders to cover the cost of running it for some time. I’d hoped it would pick up but unfortunately it’s worse with no orders at all some months.

The reality of being a small business right now is it’s hard. Prices for fabrics, machines, stationary, printing etc are continuing to rise and it’s impossible to keep up with when the online demand isn’t there.

I’m going to take the next few weeks to figure out a way forward for The Babyman Store. I have markets booked in until the end of the year so I’m not going anywhere just yet.

I just wanted to be honest about what’s going on behind these little squares.

What a beautiful day market was today. The sun shone and it was lovely to see so many people and get such lovely comments about my clothing.

It’s nice to know you are all loving the prints as much as me. It’s not always easy to have confidence when it’s just you, working at home, making all the decisions and today reminded me I’m doing ok.
