A Bit of Story Behind

It had been almost 10 years since I last wore a kimono.
When I was 15–17, I spent two years training as a kimono dresser because I loved our traditional dress so deeply.

Receiving an invitation with the dress code Black Tie or National Dress, and a strong theme of “rewear, repair and recycle,” felt incredibly meaningful to me.

A heartfelt thank you to my friend for generously trusting me with this beautiful kimono.
And thank you, Laura, for interviewing me and giving me the space to share its story.

Catching up with some of the 35 Under 35 from the  at the Royal Premiere of ‘Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision’ at Windsor Castle 🎬 The film is now out on Amazon Prime!

🎤💃🏻

The dress code for the evening was ‘Rewear, Repair, Recycle’, and guests were encouraged to come dressed with sustainability in mind - rewearing, finding something preloved, upcycling, or taking their own green spin on the occasion.

A huge thank you to the  for having me - it was brilliant to hear from so many guests who loved to share not just how they had put together a sustainable outfit, but the stories behind them!

A Royal Premiere

I’m still a little in awe of how extraordinary this week went.
Attending the Royal Premiere at Windsor Castle felt almost unreal — like stepping briefly into a dream. I don’t think I’ve ever felt quite so special at an event before.

It was my first time visiting the Castle, and the moment I stepped into the reception room, the word “wow” slipped out of my mouth without any intention. Truly breathtaking — immaculately beautiful in a way that stopped me in my tracks.

The evening marked the Royal Premiere of ‘Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision’ — a landmark documentary created in collaboration with and Video, launching globally on 6 February 2026. I had the privilege of watching it ahead of its release, in the presence of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

The film speaks quietly yet powerfully about harmony — between people and planet, tradition and future — a theme that resonates deeply with my own practice and the way I think about making.

The evening also brought moments I will hold onto for a long time: conversations in the reception rooms, wearing a vintage kimono passed down through generations, and the honour of meeting .duchessofedinburgh

With heartfelt thanks to The King’s Foundation for the invitation and for continuing to champion craft, heritage, and thoughtful futures. It was so nice to get together again with the other 35 UNDER 35 as well.

2025

I know everyone is in their 2016 era at the moment, but I’m sharing my 2025 moments.

Looking back, 2025 held so many meaningful milestones — some loud, some very quiet. From exhibitions and fairs to drawing, weaving, learning, and showing up even when life felt full.

From exhibiting at Gallery 57, to showing work at Collect with NM Art & Design, I felt held by meaningful collaborations and generous support. Collect, in particular, has long been a place I aspired to be part of, so being there meant a great deal.

It was an honour to be featured by QEST during their International Women’s Day celebrations, and again for their 35-year anniversary — a reminder of how vital long-term investment in craft truly is.

This year also held quieter, slower moments: drawing and imagining new work, developing pieces for Wales, and exhibiting at Makers Guild Wales — where ideas on paper became woven form.

Making my PAD London debut, being part of a group show at Tarpey Gallery, and closing the year at Manchester Art Fair — beautifully organised by Marek and my Primary mates — felt like a full circle.

Above all, thank you. To galleries, institutions, organisers, collectors, friends, and everyone who supported my practice in ways seen and unseen.
2025 asked a lot — but it also gave so much back.

Thank you, Manchester Art Fair

I’m still feeling sad about not being able to be there for the weekend, but absolutely happy about two of my work finding the new homes! This didn’t happen without 's selfless effort to bring all of our work together and represent us. Thank you, Manchester, and THANK YOU, Marek!!!

Get • Thank you to everyone who looked, engaged and was interested in our work and in our organisation, Primary, Nottingham, plus those lovely folk who took away our art for their homes! …
Thanks to the 12 PRIMATES for giving me the opportunity to take an independent taste of Primary to the FAIR …

I believe it was truly a successful 1st venture for our collective, providing invaluable exposure out of Nottingham, making connections; with other studio groups, collectives, curators and collectors … oh plus making 9 sales too!

Throughly enjoyed it and totally exhausted.

“Reverie” at Tarpey Gallery

I’m so excited to be showing my work at Tarpey Gallery as part of Reverie, a group exhibition with fourteen amazing UK-based artists. The show explores how ideas spark, converge, and blur the line between imagination and reality — a celebration of the creative process in all its forms.

I sadly missed the launch as I wasn’t brave enough to go in with 2yo son 😂 , but the exhibition is open until 21 December, so there’s still time to visit! I’m really excited to see some images of the gallery — can you spot my work among all the incredible pieces on display?

📍 Tarpey Gallery, Castle Donington
🗓 On view until 21 December

Exhibiting artists: Lucy Beale, Jane Bottery, Dan Broughton, Sara Breinlinger, Lin Cheung, Christine Evans, Momoka Gomi, Amanda Hancock, Tracey Hollis Rowe, Felicity Keefe, Richard Perry, John Pedder, Shirley Stevenson, Tamara Williams

Get • A huge heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along to support the launch of ‘Reverie’ - the show is now on until 21st December. Thursday- Sunday 10-5pm and I’m super happy to say that all of the work is now up on the website to view and buy on the browse artwork page!
