Having thought about this in depth, I've come to the decision that rather than trying to juggle my studies and creating and selling my knitting, I'm going to have to prioritise my studies. After trying to set up an Etsy shop, I found that sellers must have photo ID, which I don't have. This and my struggle to both create beautiful knitted pieces and study effectively, has forced my hand into closing my shop until further notice. I'm more than happy to sell any pre-existing stock on an individual basis. However, I can't create anything new, advertise online, post regularly, and maintain an online shop. At some point I will post pictures of my stock so that anyone can contact me to purchase items that pique their interest. Thank you all for supporting Forged in Yarn. I'm sure I will see and sell to you all in the future.

From mid October onwards I will be opening an Etsy shop as I've realised that Folksy doesn't get much footfall unfortunately. Sometime this autumn I will also start selling hats both as standalone items and as part of hat and scarf sets. I'm so excited to be able to finally provide you all with warm heads as well as necks. I'm also hoping that I'll be able to create snoods, slippers, socks and mittens in the not too distant future. Watch this space

Working on a new project. I'm absolutely loving these colours. I always find it such a shame when it comes time to finish working on projects I've particularly enjoyed working on.

Hat and scarf sets coming this Autumn/Winter. Still need to learn how to do the hat part, but I'll smash it in no time. Apologies for the radio silence for the past few months. I've been having a busy patch, but I've generally been having a nice time, catching up with old friends and looking forward to the future. I will be returning to university in October, so I'd best get knitting before things become hectic. I'm unbelievably excited for the next year. Thank you all for accompanying me on my journey

For any purchase made in March I'll donate 25% to Versus Arthritis in order to advance research to improve outcomes for people living with all forms of arthritis. I'm taking on the March knitting challenge for Versus Arthritis due to my own battles with osteoarthritis and (yet to be confirmed but very likely) psoriatic arthritis. If you want to contribute in your own way without spending money you can join the March knitting challenge and raise money on your own terms. Crocheting is also more that welcome.

Let's get crafting!

Once I've finished my current project (pics coming soon) I'll be having my first try at knitting a hat. Cant wait to show you all the fruits of my labour
