Phew! I thought I had lost access to this page but it turns out I was only allowed access through a PC and mine is being temperamental and won’t upload any photos. With a recent update it appears I now have access on my iPad again yay!

Nothing much has been going on at Ominicci HQ this year though - I’ve only made a little bit of stained glass and cards for family & friends this year. I have however, kept my hand in by attending workshops run by other Artists and Makers. The first was a Slate Mosaic workshop in March in Scotland with Rachel Davies Mosaics at Gartmore House. After making a practise piece experimenting with different patterns and textures with slate and glass Rachel showed us how to create an abstract design from a photo we had taken. The design then evolved into a finished piece, which for me changed as the day went on!

I hope to make more glass and slate mosaics soon it was a great course and gave me lots of ideas for future pieces.
Check out Rachel’s FB Page for her work. She also does mosaic kits.

🌈🎉🎊 Happy New Year Everyone🍾🥂💥

2020 wasn’t a very creative year for me for various reasons despite having what seemed like all the time in the world on my hands. But here is my first offering of 2021. A photo of the full moon from a few nights ago - the Cold Moon, and my very quick snow sculpture of a moon gazing hare. Seeing a moon gazing hare is said to bring growth, re-birth, and abundance, new-beginnings and good fortune. I hope it works for you 🥳

A friend asked me this week if I had been crafting during lockdown and I realised I had probably done less during lockdown than I normally would have done. A group of friends and I started a Friday Challenge, but it petered out when we realised coronavirus was going to be around for a while and we ought to do something more constructive with all this time (not that I actually have!).
Here are my contributions to the Challenges;
Portrait of your Partner
A Mask
Flower Pounding Picture
Black & White Still Life
Bottle in a Ball Gown
Wind Chime

Happy St George’s Day. I hope you are all managing to stay sane in these strange times.
Just finished this Dragon’s Eye Pendant using a wire work tutorial from Nicole Hanna. I hand painted the Dragon’s eyeball with oil slick effect nail varnish on a glass nugget. The iridescence does not show well in the photo but it is amazing, if I do say so myself!
