As a sponsor of the Ilkley Half Marathon, we've been given a free race place to give away.

We'd like to award it to someone who deserves the opportunity but hasn't yet entered.

We have watched thousands of customers running up and down outside the shop over the years — and on Sunday we got to see thousands more taking on the race.

One thing that always stands out is just how many different running styles and gaits there are.

Some runners glide. Some shuffle. Some heel strike. Some land further forward. Some overpronate. Some don’t.

The point is… there’s no single “perfect” running style — and there’s definitely no one shoe that works for everyone.

A 5K is around 6,000 steps.

A marathon can be 50,000+.

That’s a lot of time spent in shoes that either work with your running style… or against it.

It was amazing to support you all on Sunday and see so many people pushing through to achieve their own personal goals. Massive well done and so good to see customers and our followers - we hope you had a great race, not too sore and still enjoying the afterglow

We are all set for Sunday and looking forward to cheering all the Rob Burrows Leeds Marathon runners as they pass the shop just before mile 17! The shop will be opening around 10am and Team Yorkshire Runner will be cheering you all on.

Now in its 7th edition, this latest update brings a softer feel underfoot for added comfort, plus improved heel lockdown for a more secure fit on the trails.
