Or have a chat with me about putting new life into that favourite jacket or mending those"lucky" pants (as in trousers)
We buy an incredible amount of new clothes in the UK – over 26kg per year.
That’s 13 new pieces of clothing on average every month!
One of our favourite tips to reduce the amount of new clothes we buy is the “30 times” test.
Next time you are about to buy something new, try asking yourself:
❓Will I wear this at least 30 times?
❓Will I still want to wear it in two years?
❓Will it last that long?
If the answer is no, then put it back on the shelf and pick something that you will wear more.
Even better, buy second hand. It’s by far the most environmentally friendly fashion choice you can make. There are loads of options to buy second hand in Leeds, check out our map to find your nearest vintage shop, charity shop or dress agency (https://bit.ly/2ZNAxlS)!
