Capturing your favourite animals on Harris Tweed homewares & accessories by drawing with stitches. The Canny Squirrel is a textiles business based in Paisley, Scotland, specialising in handmade Harris Tweed homewares and accessories. Each product features a felt animal design embellished with free motion embroidery. Quality and craftsmanship are key to our ethos, which is why Harris Tweed is used

to make our products - it is the only fabric to be governed by its own Act of Parliament and is handwoven at the home of the weaver in the Outer Hebrides. The colours used in the cloth beautifully mirror shades found in nature and provide the perfect backdrop for my animals. All of our products come in a variety of colours and designs so you are able to choose a tailor made range. If you would like a commission please send an email to:

With darker nights and colder days upon us I'm adding some new textile art to my collection so you can bring a piece of nature indoors and add some warmth to your walls.

The first piece is a free motion embroidered Robin perched on a holly branch with a bright blue Harris Tweed background. It comes in a white mount with card back. It's an affordable way to buy a piece of original textile art which can be posted through your door.
