The Castle Warehouse was established on the 3rd April 1896 at 11 Old Town, Peebles, as a drapery, dressmaking, mantle and millinery retailer. Over the years the business has grown and there are now four branches, with three outlets in Peebles and one in Penicuik.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our dear colleague & friend Diane McGorum.

Diane was part of the Castle Warehouse team for 16 years based in the office at our Old Town & Northgate branches. Her dedication was exceptional & her gentle warmth & kindness touched us all. We will miss her enormously.

To honour Diane & allow her closest colleagues to attend the funeral service our Old Town branch will be closed on Thursday 3rd September.

Out Northgate branch & Cookshop will be open as usual.

Thank you for your understanding at this sad time when all our thoughts are very much with Diane’s husband Mark & family.
