Merry Christmas from the Penrith.Town Team

The Penrith.Town team are going to hang up their Christmas stockings now, but we would like to extend a safe and Merry Christmas to everyone.
We hope Santa brings you everything on your list this year.

We also want to give a big shoutout and thank you to all who will be working over Christmas from the Emergency Services, Armed Forces, Hospital Staff, Care home staff, the many volunteer services that give their time to help others and to all the staff working in hotels, restaurants, petrol stations and of course the many farmers without who our Christmas Lunch would be a very diffrent occasion.

To everyone working over Christmas Thank You.

The team will be here to bring you any breaking local news between the wrapping paper, serving the sprouts and the Christmas cracker jokes.

After a year of dedication, craftsmanship, and true handmade skill, our factory team are gently setting down their tools for a well-earned Christmas rest. They’ll return in the new year, refreshed and ready to craft the next season’s shoes and we can’t wait to share what’s coming.

This afternoon we had the pleasure of GCSE students visit us from QEGS Penrith, looking for different finishes they could use for the projects they are currently working on, along with a little tour of our workshop by Martin. Lovely too see you all and hope it gave you a little more insight to what we do.

We closed our doors on 6 December for the final time after an amazing 2 months we sold out of lots of items so there was very little stock left!!!!!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us throughout our 283 years in business
It has been an amazing fantastic journey which we could not have acheived without our staff who have assisted us so loyally with dedication over the years we are truly thankful and feel blessed to have served the people of Penrith and the surrounding area
Customers from far and wide across the globe always stopped in when passing by it will be strange not to help and chat to you all again😭😭
Two weeks has passed since closing and life seems to have quietened down and there is a calm which is unreal, life was always conducted at a fast pace so much so the year leading up to retirement just disappeared and bang we have finished
May I take this opportunity to thank you all with sincerity
It has been a pleasure not only was my job a career it was also a hobby
What more can I say but to just wish you all a Merry Christmas and all the very best for 2026 and the years to come👍👍👌👌
