Hello! Just a reminder that the Stitch-a-long for the dog treat bag will start tomorrow at 12pm. All welcome! Give me a shout if you'd like to access the group when it opens.

I can still provide kits, they'll be priced similarly depending on supplier prices at the time. There is likely to be a 1-2 week turnaround for kits as I'll need to order items, but I think I can do another one within a few days.

I did something daft and I'm embarrassed 😂

I've been videoing like mad to get the stitch-a-long ready, and I clearly wasn't paying as much attention as I should have, because the bag I made for the videos is all done with the wrong side of the tweed facing out 🤦🏼‍♀️

Some tweeds it's not that visible (I still do it right though 😂), but this one you can kinda tell.

It's a cute bag though! In its own, unique, slightly odd way. And I don't want to waste it.

I tell you what, if you share any of my recent posts and you like my page, I'll put your name in a hat and on Sunday at 6pm I'll pick someone to get it as a gift from me.

The Dog Treat Bag stitch-a-long group will be open on Saturday 28th May at 12pm!

It's taken a little longer than I expected, but the materials have arrived for the kits and the tutorial has been videoed. I will be working on the pattern this week so the pdf is available on the group and ready to download.

If you'd like to join, you can request entry on the link below and provide an email address for me to invoice, or message me directly.

The entry price is £12 and includes the pdf pattern with instructions, tuition videos for each stage and support from me. You'll be able to share pictures and chat, swap ideas and see each others work!

If you've bought a full kit, you'll get into the group for free.

If you'd just like to buy the pattern, this will be available as a pdf download very soon, and will be £6.50.

Life is suddenly set to get a bit too busy after not being quite busy enough recently. Why does it always happen like that? 😳

I'm happy to be busy though, it does me good. And the things that are coming up are really exciting.

As well as a new part time job starting next week, I'm also going to lose one of my child free days, unavoidably - that's co-parenting life. And I've been asked to do some freelance art work which needs to be done quite soon.

The order book is closed for bespoke items for the time being, so make the most of my glut of work!

Pre-orders for dog treat pouch kits available now. All of the kits will include full instructions and pattern, and the full kits will include access to the stitch-a-long group with video tutorial and support.

The full kits include:
Tweed
Lining fabric
Bias binding maker
Oilskin fabric
Eyelet and punch kit
Cord
Cord stopper
Zip and zip pull
Gutterman's fabric glue
Co-ordinating thread
Carabiner
A roll of compostable p**p bags

£38.50

Part kit includes all of the above, minus the tweed, lining fabric and co-ordinating thread.

The pattern will be available and the stitch-a-long will be launched within three weeks, possibly sooner. The kits will be available at the same time. Pre-ordering will help give me an idea of quantities to order of the individual items.

I'm costing up project kits for the dog treat pouch. I'm going to offer a full kit including tweed, lining and all the incidentals you'll need. I'm also going to offer kits without the tweed and lining fabrics in case you have your eye on something already.

And of course if you look through your things and find that you don't need an eyelet set or glue etc, I can adjust for that.

Keep an eye out, I am still writing the pattern and then I will prepare a stitch-a-long as well. 😊

I've made a dog treat bag for you using this really nice subtle Harris Tweed. It's a grey/brown and green check with bands of rust running through it. I've teamed it with a lovely printed cotton. This will come with a roll of compostable poo bags that will feed out of the eyelet from the front pocket. It's lined with PUL fabric, water resistant and wipe clean-able, so your dogs treats won't make it grubby over time. And the base is strong canvas oilcloth so you can put it down when you're out and about.

I love this tweed. It's a Harris Tweed twill in a muted purple with tiny flecks of blue and shades of red. I've used a batik cotton print to line it, and it's got a leather zip tag.

I've made it using the Necessary Clutch Wallet design by Emmaline Bags.
