At the start of his career he would sign for a couple of Scottish clubs on loan such as Elgin City & Queen of the South twice. He would make his first St Johnstone appearance on 26th Sept 2015 bs Dundee United. Zander would play through the numbers 30 & 15 before getting the #1 for the 18/19 season. Zander would go on to be a key player in the cup double season, even scoring a critical goal against rangers at Ibrox. Due to this he was given a call up for the Scotland Squad. Sadly Zander would leave McDiarmid Park at the end of the 21/22 season.

1️⃣ A shirt we only wore once 1️⃣

I recently had been given the opportunity to get a fairly rare shirt added to the collection.
Of course I couldn’t say no.

This shirt in particular was only worn for 1 match making this shirt fairly rare in me one I couldn’t miss.

If you are interested in seeing this shirt have a dedicated post or any other saints related content, follow the page and stay tuned.

Saints love tartan 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Yesterday we seen St Johnstone debut the new saints 3rd kit….. Tartan. I may be slightly biased when I say this however being Scottish I do love myself a tartan kit.

For anyone who watched saints in the 90’s this may bring back a memory or two. It looks like Saints have decided to pay memory to our 95/96 3rd kit which was also tartan.

Here is hoping we see this played in a few times this season

🛑 Shirts That Never Made It 🛑

Think you know every St Johnstone shirt ever produced?

Take a look at these photos… You might be wondering, “I’ve never seen these before.” If so, you’d be absolutely right.

Thanks to the generosity of a fellow Saintee, I’ve been able to add not one, not two… but THREE prototype items to the collection. These are pieces that never made it into full production, making them a fascinating and unique part of the club’s history.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be revealing each one individually, sharing the story about what makes these so unique.

If you’re as intrigued as I am, make sure you follow the page and stay tuned—you won’t want to miss these!

2 keepers, 1 Jumper 🧤 🥅

Team: St. Johnstone
Year: 2023-25
Kit: GK Training Jumper
Type: Player Worn
Player: #1 Mitov & Fisher
Maker: Macron
Sponsor: N/A
Size: L
League: Cinch Premiership
Signed: N/A

Player Info:
Dimitar Mitov - Mitov signed a 2 year contract for St Johnstone on 14/07/23 and was made #1 straight away. Mitov had an incredible season between the sticks, so much so his final act as goalie was saving a penalty to ensure we stayed up in the Premiership. He went on to win all club & supporter awards for the 23/24 season. Sadly after such an incredible season he left McDiarmid Park early to sign for Aberdeen for the 24/25 season.
App: 40, Clean Sheets: 10.

Andy Fisher - With Mitov leaving early, and no replacement found in the summer window ready for the 24/25 season, Fisher signed on loan in Jan 2025 to play #1 for the remainder of the season. During his 5 months he would go on to win against Celtic & play at Hampden Park in the Scottish Cup Semifinal. Sadly the season needed in relegation & Fisher returned to Swansea
App:18, Clean Sheets: 6.

Item info: This Jumper came from a charity shop, after Club Kitman Donated all training gear to the Salvation Army Charity shop in Perth. This jumper was never available to buy publicly & features the #1 under the macron logo.

Photo Info: Photos of both Mitov & Fisher wearing the same jumper at training, as it was worn across 2 seasons.
