I'm looking forward to trading at the historic Hinchingbrooke House this Sunday June 14th. The craft fair is open from 10am to 3pm, and you can explore the beautiful gardens as well as the small businesses inside the house.

Tomorrow and Saturday I will be at for the Summer Open Studios this year. Thanks to the kind invitation of I will be in her studio along with , with some of my textile makes and details of upcoming crochet workshops.
We are open, along with several other artists studios, 10am - 3pm. Entry is free, there's plenty of parking and will be open for scrumptious refreshments.
There will be other studios open including , so pop in to see their work and details of the workshops they run.

This weekend I'm excited to be at one of my favourite events of the year - Open Farm at Park Farm, Thorney. Such a wonderful event for young and old alike, with free entry and parking. Lots to see and do, and you can find me in the Farmers Market Barn - will I see you there?

Whether you want to learn to crochet, or use your existing crochet skills to make summer bunting, there's a workshop for you. At the regular Crochet Club we will also be running a CAL (Crochet ALong) to make a beautiful Sunburst blanket for those who want to join in. Crochet Club is open to everyone who can already crochet, and you can bring along a project you want to work on, need help with or want to learn a new technique, stitch or type of square.

Ready to progress your crochet skills from beginner level? Next Saturday we have two great workshops for you to choose from to do just that at Riverside Beads in Market Deeping.

🧶 10am-1pm - Improvers Crochet
The perfect next step from a beginners workshop, we will look at additional stitches and combining stitches to create different designs, start to learn pattern reading, and look at the best methods for changing colours.
🧶1.30-4.30pm - Crochet Granny Squares
It's a crochet classic but also very popular right now for making everything from bags and blankets to cardigans and scarves. If you can make a treble stitch, then you can make a Granny Square!

This has been such a lovely project to be involved in, and a super group of ladies to teach. Starting as a group with no experience of crochet, they worked hard, practiced between classes and all now have new craft skills they will continue to benefit from.

I am incredibly proud to support initiatives like this within our community because they offer so much more than learning a new skill. These workshops create a safe, welcoming, and friendly environment where people can socialise, relax, build confidence, and support their mental wellbeing.

In today’s world, where loneliness, anxiety, and stress affect so many people, community groups like this play a hugely important role. Creative activities such as crochet are proven to help reduce stress, improve focus, support memory, and encourage positive social interaction — while also bringing different generations together.

It was lovely to see so many smiling faces, beautiful handmade work, and such a warm atmosphere in the room. 👏

A huge thank you to everyone involved for creating something so positive for our area. I will always proudly support local initiatives that help bring people together and strengthen our community. 💙

Today I'm busy prepping for the final session of a four week Crochet Course with the lovely ladies at Paston Farm Community Centre Paston. They have all progressed so well, with most of them never having tried to crochet before. The picture shows the set up for our previous session where I taught a classic in the crochet universe - the Granny Square. I'm really looking forward to see the squares they have made since, and tomorrow I will teach the different methods they can use to crochet them together.

If you are interested in learning to make the perfect Granny Square, I have two workshops coming up this month:
