YARN PACKER

We are looking for a warehouse packer to join our team at our beautiful woollen mill near Mintlaw.

You will help keep our warehouse organised and provide support for our sales team so yarn is packed in time for customer's orders.

Our ideal candidate has good attention to detail and good organisational skills and able to work under pressure to get orders packed and ready on time.

07.30 - 16:00 Monday - Thursday
07:30 - 15:00 Friday

Responsibilities include:
- Picking yarn and textiles from inventory
- Moving yarn, wool and textiles between departments
- Inspecting and packing yarn for customer's orders
- Weighing and calculating net and gross weights.
- Marking and labelling yarn and cartons
- Loading and unloading
- Managing collections
- Updating stocks and the status of manufacturing orders on MRP software.
- Liaising with the manufacturing and sales departments to ensure timely deliveries.

Requirements:
- Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality
- Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work on computers
- Able to lift cartons and fabric pieces and help move bales of wool
- Forklift license is a plus

We are looking for a Sales administrator to join our team and help us achieve our sales targets. You will serve as a point of contact for B2B and B2C customers with queries about products, orders and deliveries and provide support for our sales representatives.

Our ideal candidate is goal-oriented and naturally good at looking after customers. If you have good organisational skills and draw energy from going beyond customer's expectations, we would like to hear from you.

Ultimately, you should be able to contribute to high quality customer service to achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through an excellent sales service
- Processing orders via email or phone
- Maintaining and updating sales and customer records
- Sending invoices and order confirmations
- Checking data accuracy in orders and invoices
- Contacting clients to obtain missing information or answer queries
- Liaising with the packing and manufacturing departments to ensure timely deliveries
- Updating inventory levels
- Actively involve in the receiving and sending of new shipments including deliveries to the post office

- Solid communication and typing skills
- Computer literate
- Able to travel to trade shows
- Qualification in Marketing, Sales or relevant field is a plus as is proven work experience as a Sales administrator.

TEXTILE MACHINE OPERATORS - Still some positions available!

Based in a stunning location near MINTLAW we are a 220 year old wool mill producing yarns and woollen fabrics.

We are looking for TEXTILE MACHINE OPERATORS to operate our carding, spinning, winding and twisting machines.

No previous experience necessary as training will be provided.

We have positions in day shift and night shift. 39+ hours per week.
Day shift 07:30 - 16:30 Mon-Thurs, Fri 07:30 - 15:30

This job would be min/living wage to approx £9.00 per hour. We would welcome interest from both experienced individuals as well as recent graduates looking for a career start.

MACHINE TECHNICIANS/MECHANICS/ENGINEERS

Based in a stunning location near MINTLAW we are a 220 year old wool mill producing yarns and woollen fabrics.
We are looking for mechanically skilled individuals with a love of old machinery. No previous textile machine experience necessary for individuals with a background in hands on mechanical work as training/guidance will be provided.
Typical work might include:
- Assisting textile machine operators in the smooth running of the machines.
- Preparing machines for new colour batches.
- Skiving belts and fixing chains.
- Machine gauging and alignment.
- Oiling machines.
- Sizing yarn (checking yarn thickness).
- Cleaning Carding Rollers (Fettling).
- Grinding Rollers (sharpening carding rollers).
- Recovering roller wire.
- Transferring wool and rovings between machines.
- etc.
We have positions in day shift and night shift. 39+ hours per week.
