My Shopping Bag
Mon Cabas was born from my love of recycling antique and vintage French fabrics on my kitchen table (much to the horror of my 4 kids, 3 dogs and 1 cat who have all had to share their living quarters with a mad, bag-sewing lady-mum)!
I lived in France for 27 years and the hours spent perusing the yearly brocantes (the equivalent of a car boot sale) late into the hot summer evenings and ending the day with a small beer from the kiosk with all my freshly purchased beautiful fabrics spilling out around my feet made for times of utter bliss! Like a child I absolutely love an element of surprise in my life and that's what Mon Cabas is all about... each bag is a unique combination of French fabrics, suede and recycled leather.
The bag linings are a constant source of surprise, albeit in their patterns, colours or simply just their pure beauty, as are the beautiful purses that accompany each and every bag along with the added luxury of a sturdy heavy duty lobster clip for your keys nestled inside.
