It remains a mystery as to why Polarised lenses have such little pe*******on at the dispensing level.

Pre-tinted lenses are all very well, they darken daylight and that’s about it. Our problem arises when the sun declines to shine, or we go indoors, for example to a restaurant while on holiday. Then we have to carry a ‘clear’ pair in order to see what we’re doing indoors.

Photochromic lenses react to sunlight well enough, but they are not Polarised and don’t work behind a car windscreen, which is when many of us really need to deal with excessive light, or ‘glare’. Low winter sun and wet roads; you get the picture. Younger Optics ‘Drivewear’ solves this problem, as does 'Infinite Grey' for those who don’t spend hours behind the wheel.
