I was asked recently what led me to opening my shop, Bone. I couldn’t find the words then but now after some thought … basically, collecting. It’s my passion. Sourcing, hunting, going to auctions and fairs until my house was overflowing.

There is something satisfying about living amongst objects that have already lived a life of their own. I have always found myself drawn to vintage, eclectic pieces that carry a sense of history, a sense of another time, another home, another pair of hands that once valued them.

What these objects really bring to a house is depth. A home filled with only new items can feel polished but sometimes a little impersonal, vintage pieces invite curiosity, spark conversation and make a space feel layered as if it has grown overtime rather than being assembled all at once. Anyway, that’s what I should have said. 😂❤️
