The theme this year is planet vs plastic 🌎

Did you know that disposable nappies are a single use plastic?

Each nappy contains an average of 9.55g of plastic. If you go through 8 nappies a day, this is a total of 76.5g. The equivalent of 15 plastic bags a day!

In a baby’s lifetime, they are expected to go through 4,000-6,000 nappy changes. That is up to 57.3kg of single use plastic! The same as 11,460 plastic bags!

So what can you do about it?

Choose to reuse! Cloth does not have to be all or nothing. Just one reusable nappy can save up to 730 disposables - the equivalent of 1395 plastic bags!

What can I use small wet bags for?

Anything and everything!

We currently have one in the changing bag filled with toys, one in the car with muddy shoes in, one in B’s nursery bag in case of any accidents/ dirty clothes, one in the swimming bag filled with pool toys, one in my handbag for makeup and toiletries.

They can be used for so many things beyond nappies and wipes!
