Your tie doesn’t have to be a tie 👔👀

One of my favourite little styling tricks at the moment — using a tie as a belt to completely change an outfit.

It takes about 30 seconds, works with so many different looks and is such an easy way to make something you already own feel completely different. ✨

And obviously… ties are VERY much on my sourcing radar this autumn 😂

What’s on my sourcing radar for Autumn 2026 👀🍂

Teal, military details, funnel necks, faux fur, tartan & plaid, ties and ALL the chocolate brown 🤎

One of my favourite parts of running The Second Story is watching what’s happening in fashion and then hunting for those trends secondhand because dressing current doesn’t have to mean buying new.

And yes… I’ve already managed to source quite a few of these for the shop 👀 with plenty more autumn pieces still to come.
