Amanda is one of our earliest supporters, and what she doesn't know about spinning isn't worth knowing.
We are so pleased that Amanda Hannaford has agreed to be part of the loom shed tribe. If you need to know anything about spinning, Amanda will know it. She’s taught internationally and is always in demand.
Later this month she will be teaching how to spin yarn using a spindle. This ancient craft is so much more portable than a spinning wheel. (You might spot a picture of Amanda spinning beside the sea on our website. )
LOCKDOWN.3😩
Well as we are all aware the country is in lockdown again which means all non-essential shops have to close their doors.
(I personally believe we are essential as crafting is one of the best remedy’s for mental health)
So I will be reverting to online sales and our click collect and local delivery.
You can get me via messenger for you orders.
Keep well, stay save, and hopefully we will be back open soon 🧶😊

This may seem a strange post to share on here, but Roy is one of our wonderful helpers; he's been with us from the beginning. So (when we're allowed), if you need your dog grooming give hime a ring.

There was a crazy idea mooted in the depths of winter 2016 that Cornwall needed a Fibre and Textile show, after all the nearest big fibre show is in Wales, which is too far and too expensive for many people. Pipps & Co found a venue, Gorgeous Yarns came up with a name and Cornwoolly was born.
We were very lucky that well known local artisans and artists took the risk on attending a new show; without them, we wouldn’t be where we are now. Many of them have become close friends and are regular exhibitors, coming back to join us every year.
The whole thing has snowballed from there.
This has now become an annual event held on the third Sunday of March. There will be tweaks from time to time as we grow and refine the way things work, but the essence of our show as a friendly community that promotes the best of fibre craft in the South West remains unchanged. We will keep the entry charge as low as we can, but it might change as we need to cover costs. Currently (2019) it’s still only £1.
For car parking charges we are at the mercy of Heartlands, but the fee can reclaimed against any purches from their coffee bar or Red River Cafe (please see their website for up-to-date details).
Besides this page, we have a website, www.cornwoolly.co.uk and Instagram and Twitter accounts.
Please help to spread the Cornwoolly word and contribute to another vibrant, fun and exciting event.
