“Great things are done when men and mountains meet.”
29th of May marks the anniversary of Everest’s first ascent by Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. One of history’s great testaments to human industry and spirit.
Since our inception, we have repeatedly tested our clothing and equipment on Everest, setting record times for ascents in May 2019 and again in May 2025 when Co-Founder Staz completed Mission: Everest.
8,849 metres. -40°C wind chill. A third of the oxygen available at sea level.
The conditions on the mountain, especially in the Death Zone (the area above 8,000m), test high performance clothing in ways no controlled environment can replicate. Climbing the highest peak on the planet not only demonstrates the resilience of our products, but the integrity of our design process and our team’s relentless pursuit of excellence. We don’t just stand by our kit, we stand in it.
This Everest Day is not just a reminder of how experiences on the mountain have helped shape our brand, but how the mountain itself continues to be a powerful force in refining the character of individuals and communities. There are few better examples than the mountain of how important it is to spend time in nature, amidst all its chaos and calm.
