Hi everyone!
My first post in a long time!
Just wanted to say that although I can’t take on any larger sewing jobs, I’m still able to do small alterations like trouser, skirt and jeans hems and zips.

Hi everyone, hope you’re all doing ok.
Well, winter is coming and I’ll have some time to spare so I’ll be able to do some sewing alterations again.
Please note however that I’m only taking small jobs on so that means skirt, trousers or dress hems and alterations, replacing skirt/ trousers or jean zips (not jacket zips, sorry)and any other small alteration or mending jobs.

Hi everyone, just an update - I’m afraid I won’t be taking on any more sewing jobs now as I’m back working full time again (it’s a shock to the system but hallelujah after so long!! )
Other news is happier - the Portree Gathering Hall Market reopens on Tuesday after over a year 🥳🥰🎉
There will be lots of lovely handmade items for sale as well as some bargains so if you’re in Portree please call in and give your support. It’s open six days (closed Mondays) from 10 till 5
I will have my usual stall with handmade Harris Tweed items 🥰
Neckwarmers, headbands, purses, key rings, mug rugs and brooches.

Hi everyone, isn’t it so nice to see Skye coming to life again with shops and cafes opening up! 😀
The shop I work in is open but for now I’m only working part time so I’m able to do a few sewing jobs.
I’m going to avoid large projects (making curtains, covering seat cushions et) and jacket zips (sorry, I know it’s a common request, but they just aren’t worth the hassle for me and really hurt my hands with all the unpicking, pinning and hand tacking involved)
I’m happy to do any hems, alterations and mending jobs though. 😊

Also today, in memory of my own lovely mum who passed away a long time ago, I would like to help two local (Skye) people who are struggling to bless their own mums this year. It’s been a tough time for many but I know for some it’s been particularly difficult.
So if you would like a Harris Tweed headband or neckwarmer to give your mum tomorrow and you’re able to collect from Portree today or tomorrow please pm me.
It will be completely confidential, there’s no need to explain why you’re struggling or anything like that, it’s not a sob story competition, I just want to help and make a couple of mums smile 😊
You can also act on behalf of someone you know is struggling, I won’t ask questions.

Which also means Mother’s Day is coming soon so I thought you might want to treat your lovely mum, step mum, spiritual mum, gran or anyone really to a Harris Tweed neckwarmer or headband. All handmade by me here on the beautiful Isle of Skye.
This is my current stock but I’ll be making more very soon.
