Portrush FC Youths are in the process of bidding for funding for a new 3G pitch at Parker Avenue, through the IFA DCMS Grassroots Facilities Investment Fund.
During the Autumn and Winter months, over 200 local girls and boys train on an inadequate area in Parker Avenue, resulting in training sessions being called-off numerous times throughout the season due to safety concerns. These cancellations can have a negative effect on our children's mental health, wellbeing, and development.
If the proposal were to be successful, a 3G pitch would provide the following benefits:

Community Growth: can lead to a more active and engaged local community.
Health benefits: provides a safe and accessible space for physical activity and encourages an active lifestyle.
Social benefits: fosters social interaction, providing a positive outlet for our children and can prevent anti-social behavior.
Year round usability and accessibility.
Safer playing environment and lowering the risk of injuries.
Enhanced playing surface that aids development.
