Papier Poudre c. 1900-1920 with papers and original perfume card. “Lehcaresor” in both English and French This little packet is in very good condition for the year, only few papers have been used and it still has the original perfume card which has information about other papier poudre poducts on the reverse side.
Inside it reads ‘ Tear out a leaf and pass it gently over the face & neck. it willinstantly remove all smuts and grease and leave a dainty dusting of powder which which imparts a soft bloom to the complexion. ‘Papier Poudre’ can be used without a mirror and without fear of sprinkling powder on the dress.’During the Edwardian society days, around 1900, middle-aged women tried to lookas youthful by using anti-ageing products like this - papier poudre , was a coloured-powdered paper that the women pressed on their faces to remove the shine. The pieces of paper came in books, and they are still sold today by some modern cosmetic companies. The cover picture is featured on both font and back.Size: 75 x 52
