The black alteration pile is finished! A gorgeous dress has been taken up from full length to a more flattering calf length, trousers taken in at the waist, and lengthened from the waist, and a workplace hoody repair and pocket reattachment after a 'workplace incident' (it's my son's, I'm allowed to be over-dramatic ..)
On with the sizable random sewing pile now!

I had a bit of a funny turn and signed up for an open university degree course, it was actually something I've wanted to do for many years, so decided to seize the day by the horns! It started last month... I got behind in the first week 😆. I've finally (just about) caught up, and did at least submit my first assignment on time... While nervously awaiting my results I've managed to start catching up with sewing work, hooray! The blue pile was first:
A footstool cover to match previously made curtains
A dress back altered to fit,
A top taken in at the sides...
Time to crack on with the black pile next, no time to waste scrolling through social media! ( You know I will 😂)

I am REALLY looking forward to delivering these to their new home... Has to be done in person I think 🇬🇷😉. A cosy throw and matching cushions for cooler evenings.

It was a quiet week in the sewing room (nowhere else!) so I started tackling my fix pile. I repurposed an unloved sweater dress into a... Sweater! Some trousers had to be taken in along all seams, and 6 inches taken off the waist, a sad reflection of a difficult year for me. Lastly for now, a top which I love for the fabric, but not the style, has been turned into a fitted vest 🙂.
