A lovely local lady has kindly paid for one of each of our boxes to donate to 2 children who would really appreciate it and may not receive many other gifts at this time of year.

These boxes are christmas sensory messy play boxes 1 aimed at up to 3 years old (with adult supervision) the other for 3 years plus.

Obviously this a very private matter for people so i
ask if you or someone you know would love one of these boxes for their little ones please drop us a little message in our inbox.

Candy cane rice - this brightly coloured peppermint scented rice is perfect for small hands to explore. Feeling, rolling, pouring and listening to the sounds, the texture of the rice helps “wake up” those receptors in the skin so children can interpret sensory input more accurately in preparation for fine motor skill development. It's a great alternative for those who tend to avoid tactile input such as sand.

We include loose parts with the box that can be mixed into the rice on a tray or larger tuff tray type surface, this encourages pincer grasping and helps them to master picking up small objects.

For those under 3 we include a wooden spoon and egg cup which children can use to develop fine motor skills and griping of utensils. Little ones will love to play with and in the rice.

The rice and accessories can create hours of fun for little ones with so many different activities. A few ideas are:

🎄 Rice Shakers
🎄 Colour Identifying

For those 3+ we include a set of tweezers which children use to develop their fine motor skills and pincer grip, later used to help with pencil control and writing.

As mummys of young children who work within the health and education sectors we are reminded with christmas time approaching it is always frustrating to find festive things to occupy our little ones whilst at home and on christmas eve that are not aimed at older children.

it is important to us to not only bring festive fun to the little ones, but also educational learning through sensory and messy play. Sensory play encourages children to learn through exploration, curiousity, problem solving and creativity. This type of activity helps to build nerve connection in the brain and develops language and motor skills.

We are therefore both excited to lauch our festive fun boxes aimed to spark your little ones imagination. We have created 2 beautiful boxes, one aimed at under 3 year olds and the other at 3 years plus. Both boxes include multiple activites for you and your little one to create festive memories whilst developing your childs creativity.
