My designs are all my own work, from sketching the initial design to cutting out, before finally stitching (and stuffing). I stitch all my creations by hand with just a needle and thread giving that un

ique human touch to my work. I pride myself on the quality, care, and attention to detail when making each piece. Most of what I make is made to order and this page showcases what I have made. Many of my designs can be altered to suit your needs or decor. All you need to do is ask! The name 'Cubicle 1 Creations' gives a nod to my late son James, from when he received radiotherapy and chemotherapy for his inoperable brain tumour, which he was diagnosed with at just 6 months old. He spent many weeks and months in hospital and Cubicle 1 was his room on the hospital ward. He sadly passed away in 2012, aged 10. I dedicate Cubicle 1 Creations to my boy James.

What a busy week this week has been with medical appointments, anniversaries, birthdays, a funeral, college presentation evening, school parent's evening, general family life and my health needs, so I have had to squeeze in my sewing time around it all and unfortunately I have not been up to full speed.

It's been wonderful to see I have had a busy week in sales too, so my mission for the next few days is to get cracking and top up the stock!

Both Westgate Pottery on Guisborough High Street and Kirkleatham Walled Garden are open 10am til 3pm today.

These Swaledale sheep are part of a bulk order for DalesRunner for their DalesRunner30 (30 km) and Swinner Swagger (15km) events next month. These races are circular courses based from Muker in Swaledale on the 4th July. Out on't moors with Hetty the herdy this morning along a short section of the Cleveland Way National Trail up Carlton Bank before heading off for a little explore on some new-to-us trails.

It was abit windy so I think Hetty needs to get some lead boots to stop her blowing over!
Bumped into SilverBack Trails runners (3 times) out on their Sunday morning trot out. Lovely to see friends and familiar faces. I may have broken into a trot myself til my husband reminded me I don't run anymore. 😆🫣
Also got to see a couple of real life herdies too which always makes it a good day. 🐑😍

Now back to it in my sewing room building up stock for the events at the end of the month. 🧵🪡

Westgate Pottery is open 10am - 2pm on Thursday and Fridays, and 10am - 3pm on Saturdays.
And Kirkleatham Walled Garden is open 7 days a week 10am - 3pm

Anyone know any mushroom or toadstool jokes?

I have been wracking my brains for one all morning and can't think of any. 🙄😔However, I have been in my own little world the last couple of days making some little felted fungi to sell at the upcoming events and fayres I will be attending.

Shout out to local business Daisy Bloom, and business within a business - Bean Creative!

Daisy Bloom is a gorgeous independant shop in Guisborough which I recently discovered.. I know! Where have I been??! How have I missed this place? It has a lovely mix of ladies fashion plus gifts and cards, and to be honest just really nice things to treat yourself with. It is now my favourite shop to go in. I love one of the tops Kim sells so much I now have it in 3 different colours! Please don't judge me! 😆🙈

And now Kim also stocks the copper and silver jewellery made by Geraldine the talented lady behind Bean Creative. Remember the ring making workshop I went on a few weeks back? That's her.

Chaloner Street is currently closed to traffic but NOT pedestrians, but many of the businesses down the street have seen a reduction on footfall since the work started a few weeks back. If you are in Guisborough please pop in, support local independant businesses and treat yourself to something nice whilst you are at it. 😍

A weekend for me to press my pause button and remember.

Today is my late son's anniversary. 14 years ago today my first born son James slipped peacefully away in my arms after his lifelong battle with cancer.

And then tomorrow is my Dad's anniversary, it being 3 years since his death.

So this weekend I won't be around online much. Instead I will be taking some time out, spending time with those close to me and trying to be kind to myself.

All that I do with my business is dedicated to my boy James as the name Cubicle 1 Creations was 'born' during his long days in isolation in hospital during his gruelling chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments.

The shelves at Westgate Pottery, Guisborough and at Kirkleatham Walled Garden are stocked up with lots of handstitched loveliness for you all, and my inbox will remain open for direct orders and queries, but please bear in mind I probably won't response to any messages until Monday.
