Trying out an unusual but a rather effective colour combination don't you think? None of these are strictly 'my' colours, but they work together in a pleasing way, I think...
And although Winters are meant to be all about light & dark contrast, I'm far more interested in colour coordination and contrast...

FRIDAY 04 SEPTEMBER
Back home from the Stonor show on Wednesday & no time to take any photos on Wednesday & Thursday. Just wanting to get everything into the wash & frantically catching up...
Friday sees the return of normal service and here is the photo of Friday's outfit entirely pre-loved and fairly smart as I was teaching

MONDAY 31 AUGUST & TUESDAY 01 SEPTEMBER
SO busy at present - I haven't been finding time to post daily & haven't even managed to take a picture every day... So here are two together!
On the left, Monday 31st which was the final day at the Henley Craft Show - this is my pack down outfit

On Tuesday 1st, I took a day off and enjoyed the lovely charity shops in Henley. No photo of my outfit - but don't you like my new black scarf? £1.99 from Oxfam!! 🥳

SUNDAY 30 AUGUST
A fun, sunny day at the Henley Craft Show in Stonor Park. Visited by a number of friends from the Kettlewell Colour Club, including Rebecca Young in the second picture. Lots of hat trying on & buying 🤠
And I got the chance to wear my beautiful vintage coat - that is several years old now & doesn't get worn enough... It was a coat when I found it at the charity shop in 2022, but too small for me & so I removed the sleeves to make it a good fit

- Ice blue wide legged trousers, made into balloon trousers with hairbands at the bottom of each leg
- Made in Italy leopard print dress (recent sale buy)
- Unbranded shot satin gilet (Fara charity shop, Pimlico in 2022)

SATURDAY 29 AUGUST
Second day at the Henley Craft Show in Stonor Park. Rain pretty much all day, but still very muggy in the marquee.
This embellished David Emmanuel top ( ) was just right in terms of temperature
But the ice blue wide legs trousers proved not such a good idea for such a wet day... In the afternoon, the wet started spouting up through my groundsheet & the trousers got very wet & muddy at the bottom. Tucked them into my walking boots to create balloon trousers - & that worked nicely 👌

FRIDAY 28 AUGUST
The Zero Waste Wardrobe Facebook group are having a go at this week 💃🕺
But I am away working at the Henley Craft Show at Stonor House, so I'm having to give it a miss unfortunately.

SO - back to posting outfits of the day...
Very muggy all day in the marquee, so kept it simple. Loving the red and pink combination here ❤️🩷

BALLERINA WEEK - 19-25 AUGUST
The Zero Waste Wardrobe Facebook group is currently having a month, following the themes of the Great British Sewing Bee
So my daily outfits are being posted elsewhere - but here's a little run through of everything I wore during 'Ballerina Week' last week
I only have 1 ballerina (tulle) skirt so it was an exercise in how many different ways to wear it, with a day off when it had a needed wash! 😂
Do you have a tulle skirt &, if so, how do you wear it - special occasions only or out in the street??

TUESDAY 4 AUGUST
Missed posting for a couple of days - but Sunday and Monday outfits are never very interesting, especially in this heat.
Tuesday however, was a day out with good friends, so I made an effort!
I wanted to explore a different way to wear texture in the heat, in order to make a more interesting outfit. The above worked to some extent - the blue knit dress is cotton so not too hot & provides great contrast over the cami - but the second layer still left me sweltering somewhat... 🥵🥵

- Bravissimo white camisole (10 years old )
- White cotton palazzo pants (at least 12 years old)
- South blue knit dress ( )
- sparkly brooch is actually a single statement earring - the other one has been lost
