Great work by the National Disaster Response Force in Nagpur dealing with a 900 kg chlorine cylinder leak at a water treatment plant. Proud to see them wearing our GTR gas-tight suits in Chemprotex X while they brought it under control.

Operations like this are exactly why our SC1 splash suits exist. When police, fire and ambulance crews enter a suspected drug lab, the chemical hazards are unknown. SC1 gives them certified protection against the chemicals they can't see, so they can focus on the job in front of them.

Active pharmaceutical ingredients or API's are tiny molecules in medicine that do the hard work. The properties that make these compounds valuable medicines, are precisely the properties that make them dangerous to handle. If inhaled or ingested, these molecules can cause cancer, genetic damage & infertility, along with organ damage and allergy like reactions.

For this reason, suitable PPE must be used in pharmaceutical production, including Type 3, 4 & 5 suits, with appropriate breathing equipment such as airlines, powered respirators or a full face mask. But also antistatic & ATEX compatibility to prevent combustion.

The single-use GLS 300A suit made from Chemprotex™ 300 is a fully encapsulating Type 1a gas-tight chemical protection suit covering both the wearer and the breathing apparatus.

The suit combines the comfort and flexibility of a lightweight high-performance chemical barrier fabric with a gas-tight construction. It incorporates a choice of permanently attached antistatic chemical gloves, sock feet and a lightweight gas-tight zip.

Check out out this photo we found of airflow testing happening in our factory. We still hand test the airflow of each air system we produce, although technology & techniques have progressed since.

Airflow testing is vitally important to the safety & function of our equipment, and we never cut corners when testing.
