🐾 Creative question for the dog lovers…

I’ve been playing with ideas for displaying my crochet dogs and these wooden slices have made their way onto the craft table.

Now I can’t decide…

Should these little dogs:

1️⃣ Sit on their own

2️⃣ Have a wooden base with their name

3️⃣ Have a tiny sign or hanging tag with a special message

I’m leaning one way, but I’d love to know what YOU would choose.

Drop your answer below and tell me what message you’d put on the tag if it was your dog. 🐾❤️

Who knew a spare toilet roll could look this fancy? 🧶✨

This little crochet cover was a quick stash-busting project made with two strands of DK yarn held together. The textured stitches give it a cosy, rustic feel, while the flower tie adds a decorative touch.

I love finding simple ways to make everyday items feel a little more special. Sometimes it’s not about creating something complicated—it’s about adding warmth, personality, and a handmade touch to the spaces we use every day.

Would you have this in your bathroom, craft room, or somewhere else in your home?

💛 Happy Best Friend Day! 💛

Today I’m celebrating the people who quietly cheer us on, listen to our ideas, encourage us when things don’t go to plan, and celebrate our wins as if they were their own.

A good friend doesn’t judge the size of your yarn stash.
A good friend understands that your WIP list has a WIP list.
And a really good friend will happily listen to you explain a crochet project, a business idea, or a creative dream for the hundredth time. 🧶🐝

Whether your friend supports you personally, professionally, creatively, or all three, today is a lovely reminder to let them know they’re appreciated.

Tag a friend who has encouraged you, inspired you, supported your business, listened to your plans, or simply been there when you needed them most. 💛

The world needs more people who help each other grow.

From me and my Moody Bees, thank you to every friend who has been part of the journey. 🐝✨

As well of all of you who stay to see the tips and tricks I share each week. Have a wonderful weekend all 🪄🧶 ….this video has projects missing but that just means I have to make another lol. Have a guess how many hats I’ve made this year?

🐾 POV: When you realise they just got married and now they have to go as a pair…

Grey Dog: “I thought we’d be sold separately.”

Cream Dog: “Too late now.” 💍❤️

These two tiny crochet pups have apparently made a lifelong commitment and are now insisting on finding a home together.

Honestly, who am I to argue?

Would you keep them as a pair or are they being a little dramatic? 😂

How many unfinished amigurumi projects are hiding in your craft space right now?

If you struggle to finish your cute crochet characters, try these 3 simple changes:

✨ Crochet the limbs in pairs
Make both arms or both legs at the same time. No more hunting for matching yarn or trying to remember what you did weeks ago.

✨ Set a timer
Fifteen focused minutes often gets more done than waiting for a free afternoon.

✨ Leave the face until last
The face is where the magic happens. Saving it until the end gives you something exciting to work towards.

These small changes can turn a pile of crochet parts into finished friends. ❤️🧶

How many unfinished amigurumi projects do you currently have? 👀I’ve started the confessions in the comments 🫣🤣😂

Gather your squares and get your blanket or jacket started! Join in a long strip. Plan your squares then join the pairs together as one long strip then repeat with other squares. Finally go across ways and complete then joins. Have you tried this method before?

Welcome to everyone who has joined recently.

For me Mondays are the best day for a reset! Full of energy and promise.

This week’s goal is another pattern and a little freebie. So here is a reminder for anyone who needs it.

I am sure some of you will notice the blanket in the background 👀 that’s my beautiful granny scrap buster. Look out for how to do the joining later today.

Pattern for the blanket on hold as I’m enlarging the design just a little bit! 🫣😊

Comment if you would like an update when the pattern is ready for sharing 🪄🧶❤️

When starting a new round a chain 3 is often the way that a Double crochet (DC) is made. This starts with a slip knot, with the yarn over held by the thumb, the hook is placed to pick up the yarn and then the dc is created, leaving a dc that helps create a neat granny stitch. The perfect upgrade to your granny squares when changing colours! Follow for more tips and crochet patterns for beginners and those looking to build their crocheting skills
