Little bugs + water play = BIG smiles! 💦

From pouring and scooping to splashing and mixing, it’s amazing how much fun can be created with just a little water and a lot of imagination.

While the children are busy playing, they’re also exploring, experimenting, and building confidence through hands-on learning.

This is not a post we ever wanted to have to write or share, but we’re getting to the point where this is now directly affecting our small business.

WonderBugs is a private, booked playgroup space and is not open for general public play outside of sessions. Unfortunately, we’ve recently had ongoing issues with people accessing the site when it is closed.

We’re finding damage to our fence from people climbing over, broken items that we have to replace, and the space being left in a mess. This means we’re spending valuable time cleaning and resetting before each session, which is unfair and takes away from the time we should be using to prepare a safe and welcoming environment for booked families.

This is also impacting us financially through lost bookings and replacement costs, and it raises serious concerns around safety and insurance, as we are not covered outside of organised sessions.

Because of this, we will now be installing CCTV on site to help protect the space and discourage unauthorised access.

We really appreciate everyone who supports WonderBugs and respects what we are trying to build here - two mums running a small business for local families. We just ask that the space is respected so we can keep it safe, sustainable, and open for the children it’s designed for.
