Our 6 units at ASM Auto Recycling get constant use and are a vital cog in their auto recycling business, consistently delivering great feedback from users every time. ♻️🔧👏

What a fast paced and exciting start to the year it’s been at QuickStart!

We recently had the opportunity to visit Techneat, where the moulded plastic cases for both our J12 and J24 jump start units are manufactured. It’s a huge and incredibly impressive operation, and it was great to see first-hand the scale and precision behind the production process. 🏭

2026 has already seen record numbers of units leaving the doors at QuickStart, which is a testament to the hard work of the team and, of course, the performance and reliability of the units themselves. 📦🚛

We’ve also been trialling and testing our QuickStart Portable EV Charger. With up to 30 miles of output per charge, it’s proving to be a real game changer for forecourts and vehicle operations. 🔌⚡

🎵 “Everywhere you go, you always take the weather with you…” 🎵

Or at least that’s what it felt like for us at Quickstart this week!

From Scotland and Sunderland at the start of the week, all the way down to Bedford and Luton by the end — one thing stayed consistent… the rain! 🌧️

But this is exactly the kind of weather where our J12 Jump Start Unit with built-in compressor really proves why it stands out.

Thanks to its moulded polyethylene body, even the harshest conditions won’t affect performance. These units work all day, in any weather…
(with far fewer complaints than I had this week!)

It was great catching up with our friends at G3 Remarketing | Vehicle Auctions Bedford, who are running a mix of our newer J12 units and our older MAC 11 models. The MAC 11 has been part of their fleet for over 10 years — and still going strong!

A massive thank you to Gary, who kindly shuffled a few cars so I could carry out the call out and servicing indoors, saving me from yet another soaking.
Always a pleasure chatting with the lads on site — each with their favourite unit, and all taking great care of them like they’re their own. A real credit to their team!

We certainly put the miles in at Quickstart! 🚗💨

As part of our Managed Service Plan, customers benefit from a full service of their units every 100 days. This proactive approach helps us stay on top of performance, identify any signs of wear, and swap out units quickly if needed. 🔧📅

Alongside the regular 100-day service, we also handle rapid callouts for any issues that may arise. Our priority is to resolve problems quickly and efficiently so our customers’ operations remain smooth and uninterrupted — keeping everyone smiling. 😊

While we’re busy supporting our managed service customers, we also supply units for outright purchase. I had the privilege of delivering one of these units to our old friends at Central Car Auction in Accrington. They’re already familiar with our J12 unit with a built-in compressor and simply wanted an additional unit to support their expanding fleet. 🚚🤝

We’re proud to have a strong relationship with Central Car Auctions, with units across several of their sites up and down the country — and we look forward to seeing that partnership continue to grow and flourish. 🌱✨

Some more great news for Quickstart 🎉

Started the week with a long road trip to Scotland! 🚗💨

A packed two-day trip — from servicing our units with existing customers to dropping off new ones for potential clients.

It’s always a pleasure visiting Central Car Auctions Limited in Glasgow. Ian there does a brilliant job keeping our units fully charged and ready to go — makes my job much easier when it comes to servicing! Always great to catch up with him… and I have to say, the café on site alone makes the visit worth it ☕😄

Next stop was our friends over at Manheim UK Shotts. Even on a busy auction day, they always make time for a chat and to share feedback. Always great seeing our 24V units out on site next to the 12V, there really is no vehicle to big or small.

After a few more stops across Scotland — including dropping off some trial units — it was back on the road to Newcastle, where I attended a call-out at Wilsons Auctions. One of the units had fallen over and damaged the battery, but after a quick swap, it was back working at full force and smiles all around! ⚡😎

Now time to catch up in the office before I’m back on the road again this Friday!

🚀 Quickstart has another new customer!

Yesterday we delivered three J12 units with built-in compressors to our new customer — BCA Wolverhampton.

We’re already supporting other BCA sites across the UK, and it was at those locations that the Wolverhampton depot saw our J12s in action. They were so impressed by the performance and feedback from their colleagues that they skipped the trial and went straight to a managed service contract for three units — including servicing every 100 days.

Sometimes, it’s best to just let the product speak for itself. 💪

🚀 It just keeps getting busier at Quickstart!

Last week we really put some miles in — from Leeds and Liverpool at the start of the week, down to Birmingham and Bedford towards the end.

We had a great mix of jobs:
🔧 Servicing our J12 and Mac11 jump start units
⚡ Attending callouts
💨 And even running three 2-week free trials of our J12 Jump Start with built-in compressor

One of our callouts took us to G3, right in the middle of auction day — so it was a busy site! It took a bit of tracking down the machines while they were in use, but it was great to see them in full flow, helping the auction day run smoothly.

The results?
We’re thrilled that Motorpoint Coventry signed up for a Managed Service Plan before their trial even finished! Big thanks to Adam, the Prep Supervisor, for the fantastic review and smooth trial.

Meanwhile, our other two trial units are in action at BCA Bedford and MAG — both giving positive early feedback and promising reviews to come.

A busy week, but exactly how we like it — keeping the UK moving, one jump start at a time. ⚡💪

🚒 Out servicing one of our J12 units today when a fire engine suddenly pulled up in front of us.

Don’t worry – it wasn’t for our kit! 🔧

We regularly service our J12s and swap out parts before they ever get near failure. Plus, each unit is fuse-protected – so in the unlikely event something goes wrong, the fuse cuts the unit off safely instead of causing bigger issues.

One of the firefighters even took a look at the J12 with its built-in compressor and called it a “nifty bit of kit.” Always great to get feedback like that from our local heroes. 🙌 🧑‍🚒

What a weekend at the Beaulieu International Autojumble! I worked my paws off making sure everything went smoothly for the Quickstart team.

First, I helped set up the stand (not an easy job when the director, Pauline, goes over everything with a fine-tooth comb 🧐). Then I carefully inspected all the stock — especially our personal handheld jump start pack. This little powerhouse is perfect for anyone on the go: it jump starts your car and has a built-in USB port and wireless phone charging. Clever, right?

Of course, all that hard work called for a nap 💤 … got to recharge before meeting the flurry of customers! And wow, what a crowd — so many people stopped by, amazed by the jump start unit, with lots of positive feedback from existing customers. Best of all, I got endless attention and belly rubs. Win-win!

In the evenings, I enjoyed some well-earned downtime — strolling by the lake and watching the sunset. 🌅

All in all, it was a brilliant weekend, with sales growing from last year (thanks to me, obviously, the Chief Barketing Officer 😉). Can’t wait to do a few more shows before the year is out — and of course, to be back at Beaulieu next year!
