Homestead: a new collection of handloom cottons with an earthy and nostalgic feel. All have been hand woven in West Bengal. Designs and colours like these have a timeless appeal. They will make wardrobe staples and bring a homely warmth to interior sewing projects.

This collection started with Farm Check. Something about this simple check on a slightly heavier, rustic cotton base made it a really versatile and useable cloth.

The popularity of this cloth paved the way for three new classic colourways: Atlas Check, Freddie Check and Fable Time Check. Flaming Fury is a vintage-style stripe and Terra is a mini gingham on the same base.

These are perfect for overshirts like the or use around the home to bring a timeless warmth: cushions, a relaxed blind, a topper for a bench or sofa. We have lots of interior patterns in our HOUSE book.

The collection also contains five lightweight and super soft handloom cottons in classic stripes and mini ginghams, pictured here. Find them all online now, link in bio. Freddie, Terra and Atlas are also available for wholesale.

New Goldie Jacquard. Goldie is an ochre brown colour with a geometric stitched pattern and embroidered details.

Designed in house, this cotton jacquard is tactile and soft and ideal for quilted jackets or sweatshirts like the one Dan is wearing here. We chose to make a unisex zipped Chore Jacket using the pattern in our new book. We love how much cloth can change the feel of a pattern. Goldie really softens this utility jacket into a cool, slouchy layer with a relaxed feel. Dan's wearing his with the Drawstring Trousers (also from the WORKWEAR book) and a in Creeping Bloom Block Print Cotton.

There is no batting in the middle of this cloth, the inside is made up of a series of thicker yarns which gives it the quilted feel. You could also make a jacket, a sweatshirt, a bag or simply bind or hem the edges for a simple throw for the bedroom or sofa.

Available now online and in store. This cloth is also available for wholesale.

Laura dressing for a week of all season's here on the South coast. You can use our Juno blog hack to make the culottes into a pair of shorts with either a button fly waistband or an elasticated waistband.

Laura's are made in Truffle Dust 8oz Sanded Twill, the perfect mid-weight cloth for mid-weight kind of days. If you go for an elasticated waist you'll want a slightly lighter weight cloth so it gathers nicely. She wears them with a jacket in a Beeswax oilskin and a (a free pattern) we made in Ecru Dry Oilskin.

You can find the Juno Hack in our link in bio.

Dan in the sweatshirt made in Blyth with True Navy ribbing. Blyth is one of our first patterned quilted cotton jacquards. The reverse is a plain navy cloth and the two layers sandwich a series of thicker cotton yarns giving it a quilted feel without the stiffness of wadding. It's perfect for sweatshirts and loungewear as well as relaxed jackets like the . Swipe to see the other colourway in this design, Ives, a warm brown.

It's a quick and easy pattern - even a confident beginner can whip one of these up in an afternoon - and so versatile. An easy throw-on for summer evenings or an everyday layer during the cold months of the year. We think this pattern might be the most made and most worn within our team. When new members join us it's often the first thing they sew, the one that sparks the bug.

Dan is wearing a size 14 that we have lengthened to accommodate his height: we've added 8cm to the sleeves and 7cm to the body. Your pattern pieces have lengthen shorten lines to make this a really simple adjustment, even for a new sewer.

Seven new linens blowing in for the start of the season. Like a blustery English summer, this collection’s palette is both bright and muted. Pebbled beach pinks and sandy undertones sit beneath a hit of zesty citrus and hot pink, all grounded by a cool, pool blue.

We picture these stripes and ginghams as a breezy dress or an oversized bag for the beach. Feverfew is the lone large check, reminiscent of French countryside colours. We imagine this as prairie-style skirts and dresses: We’d make an dress or a skirt.

In order of appearance:

Poolside
Feverfew
Honey Plum
Sea Holly
Frosted Posset
Lazy Lupins
Prickly Pear

Now in stock: Bobbette Cross Stitch Indian cottons in Green, Blue & Rust. A joyful range of cloth for summer sewing projects.

The response to these cute cottons was incredible, with the Ecru Dolly Tot version selling out in record timing. Dolly Tot will be back in a few weeks, these three are available now. What would you make?

Customers have suggested: A co-ord using the bigger crosses as the right side for a top and a pair of shorts in the reverse; a relaxed blind for a playroom or sewing room; a quilt with a different colourway on each side; a tie side wrap skirt; a top and a top.

Choose your own right side, we think both are beautiful. The side with the bigger crosses is a little more delicate due to the looser threads but still perfectly useable. Find them online now, link in bio. These are also available for wholesale.

Secret Lemon is back and you have Maia to thank. We had this laundered linen in the collection three or four years ago and had all but forgotten about it until Maia, our lovely Customer Service Assistant, came across it in the Instagram archive and fell in love. She has had so many ideas for what she would make with it that we just had to welcome it back.

This bold check pairs the brightest cornflower blue, red and orange with a zesty lime that lifts the neutral background, bringing it all together and giving this linen its name.

So what is Maia going to make? First, an bag for her upcoming holiday and a matching with ties. Then maybe a top, a skirt or a dress. Or all of the above? What would you make?

You can find Secret Lemon online now, link in bio. This is also available for wholesale.

Three new yarn-dyed linen/cotton fabrics: Vista Check, Walton Check and Dalloway Stripe. This European laundered linen has been blended with cotton and then tumbled at the mill for softness. The cotton content gives a touch more stability than our 100% linen cloths making these ideal for interior projects as well as clothing. Over at our sister brand we've used these for tea towels.

We think these would make a great summer-weight jacket or an dress.

Find them online now, link in bio, These are not available for wholesale.
