HES HERE!!
Alfie Andrew McKenna. Born 11/04/26. 6lb 11.
Alfie came into the world in the most dramatic way via emergency c-section after 24hrs of labour. We then had a 11 day hospital stay after I became very poorly with a nasty infection that I’m still healing from and it’s going to be a slog of a recovery. But each day is getting better and better.
Day 6 in hospital, doctors confirmed Alfie does in fact have Down syndrome. He was discharged before me! And at present has no health concerns and is super strong and fighting against all the stereotypes that Down syndrome has. We have no idea what the future will hold for our little boy, but all I know is that our hearts are so much fuller, our lives are so much brighter and everything is so much happier with him in our lives. We wouldn’t Change him for the world and we can’t wait to see the mark he makes on this world 🥰
