Here is my very own period 1930s/1940s Roll-Top Desk, made from oak and with a fantastic patina finish, from regular normal use over the past century.
The Roll-Top is currently not fully together - the fabric under-carrier has failed and the back section has dropped behind: it is all still there, it just requires some work.
Otherwise in lovely, complete vintage condition; Approx 122cm wide, 80cm deep, 102cm high.

The High Street Village workshop is now CLOSED for passing trade - thanks to all of you who made the journey or stopped on your way to somewhere else, to browse or buy or just say hi ☺️

I will be around for the next few weeks, packing up and preparing for the move…

** LAST WEEKEND TRADING AT THIS ADDRESS **

As some of you know, my folks have had Trelay Villa up for sale for the past year - well, it looks as though we are soon to move…

This won’t be the end for Ace Vintage Cornwall, but it will be the end of the walk-in vintage shop format for me, and the end of trading from this address 😕
It has been so quiet in recent years and I simply can’t justify the cost (in both time and money) of running a physical shop, even with reduced trading hours…

So feel free to come by for one last hello / goodbye!

Open today (Friday) until 4pm,
and Saturday from 10am - 4pm,
and also Monday from 10am-4pm
(but packing up will have started by then!)

We will be here for a few weeks yet, packing the shop (and house) up ready for the move, but this is the last ‘official’ weekend that the ship will be open 🙂

Going forward, we are looking at online (perhaps a website etc) and maybe stepping back into doing some fairs / markets in the near future - I won’t be giving up completely!

It’s official: we have run out of space at home 😂

As a result, we have come to terms with moving on our lovely Arne Jacobsen inspired Egg Chair in classic red wool to a new owner.

We have owned this chair from new (approx 15yrs) - Clare and I bought it as a house-warming present to ourselves after purchasing our first (and still current) house together back in 2010 :)

In generally very good condition, only very rarely actually sat in (!) as it has housed a small vintage teddy bear collection for most of its life! It does have some sun fading to one of the wings from being near our French doors, but nothing drastic.

Open to offers - current retail for a new one of these is over £750, with a ‘real’ Fritz Hansen model adding another zero…!
