Avid Lyfe Mech - Patina copper diamond.

Done a patina with ammonia mix and a pink salt fume chamber.

Clear coated it to seal the patina then I sanded off the patina on the raised diamond pattern with 800-3000grit.

Just needs a cure then I'll polish the whole thing.

Purge "The Truck" Dragon Patina.

Was originally all red but I sanded off the paint down to the brass.

Simple but effective patina using #0000 fine wool for the substrate and a vinyal sticker for the dragon.

Sanded down with 1500 and 3000 grit after 6 layers of clear where added.

Buffed with 3M fastcut and sealed with ceramic polish.

I also painted the button lettering and knurling red.

Something a little different 😂.

Red purge The Truck sanded back to brass. Patina'd with a strong solution for 3 hours (every 30 min intervals I'd spray with solution). Dragon design on the back has taken well... leave it for a few days before I clear coat it.

Finished a couple of mechs off... pretty pleased with them

Latest patina. Cleaner with salt and ammonia patina. Needs to be sanded and buffed but it's looking good already 👍

I've been very quiet on here over the past few months... I've got a few little projects on the go. It's hard getting the clear coating done in this weather.

I've now found the perfect clear coat for all future projects - 3 day cure acrylic 2k HS clear coat... No more 17 day waits in between coats 👍.

Here's what I've got going.

Well, I did say that I'd be doing the Stack'em as my next project.

I had to try it out (purely for educational purposes obviously 😂) but this has led to a problem... the problem is... I can't put it down haha.

It's by far the best mech I've used to date, it's amazing 👍🏻 Apart from the 2x2 deck that is, let's just say I've had issues with it. I am waiting for Endless to get back to me but I'm not holding my breath

Running a single coil - x2 24g flat wire ni80 twisted, 7 wrap. Spot on .4 on the Goon 1.5.

This project is on hold 😂
