Kate Hill creates striking headdresses, millinery and accessories for theatre and editorial fashion shoots as well as wedding tiaras and headwear for special events. Working from her south Manchester studio in the UK, Kate makes each exclusive creation by hand. Each piece or collection is created in close conjunction with the client every step of the way. ur and materials to ensure you are completely satisfied with the end product. Kate graduated with 1st class honours in fashion design at Manchester University in 1998. Her fascination for all things theatrical lead her to work with international theatre design company Stageworks Worldwide Productions. Whilst working for them, she created headdresses and accessories for shows including Funny Girls, the Hot Ice Show and Eclipse. Kate has created hats and headdresses for television, theatre, magazines and society weddings all over the world. She is proud to have designed and created the headdress for ‘The Spirit of the Games’ - an acrobat who performed a key role in the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games of 2002 in Manchester. Kate now works from her home studio in Manchester both as a milliner and as a teacher of art and design visiting secondary schools around Manchester.
