Her confident use of colour and print brings a sense of celebration to any occasion, whether buying a carton of milk or seducing that ill-advised person under the stars. She is inspired by people who are unique, have their own sense of style and don't care what anyone thinks. She is also inspired by cheap red wine, crazy grannies and trash culture. TEST SHOT: Zsolt.

OCCUPATION: Entrepreneur, gym rat.

WEARING: Pagan Suit Jacket in Irish Linen

FAVOURITE WAY TO EAT POTATOES: Carbs? I don’t know them.

DO YOU HAVE ANY RITUALS? A Diet Coke and a cigarette first thing out of bed.

DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE: Something sophisticated and something trashy.

DESCRIBE A RECENT INTERACTION WITH THE NATURAL WORLD: I planted some San Marzano tomatoes at home, I really enjoyed getting my hands into the dirt.

WHAT ARE YOU READING AT THE MOMENT? I am reading a book called Open, Heaven by Seán Hewitt. It’s all about reminiscence and memory, and revisiting the place of your first love.

WHAT IS BEAUTIFUL ABOUT LIFE? Having agency, making the most of whatever you are presented with, and the resilience of keeping going.

Thanks Zsolt!

TEST SHOT: Jamie Christ

OCCUPATION: Tattooist

WEARING: Gravity Field Jacket in Ecru

FAVOURITE WAY TO EAT POTATOES? Properly baked from scratch, not microwaved, with haggis on top.

DO YOU HAVE ANY RITUALS? My life used to be such chaos that now I use ritual as an anchor that makes me feel safe. I put a lot of stock in cultural rituals that remind us of the important things in life. Like the winter solstice as a turning point, a return to growth.

DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE: Ageing punk.

DESCRIBE A RECENT INTERACTION WITH THE NATURAL WORLD: I have loads of birds in my garden. I spend a lot of time at home watching them with binoculars. And the cherry blossom tree has bloomed at the same time I am starting an important new era in my life.

WHAT ARE YOU READING AT THE MOMENT? This is a really unfortunate time to ask me, because I’m reading The Prince by Machiavelli. I need to know what my enemies are thinking.

WHAT IS BEAUTIFUL ABOUT LIFE? It is a constantly flowing river you can jump into, caught in the current against your will, but it’s always interesting to see what you can do in that river.

Thanks Jamie!

The ‘Name 3 Songs’ dress is one of those designs that I was obsessed with when I designed it, but by the time I finished making it the sight of it made me sick. SILK APPLIQUÉ. Are you MAD. One of the most annoying things I have ever made.

Anyway, I am back to loving it, shall I ruin my mental health by releasing a festive party drop? I am tired of holding compassionate spaces for conversation over Christmas dinner, it’s time to passively-aggressively drape myself in filth & curses.

(Am wearing a white cropped T over it in this pic, the cut is a classic slip)

What Am I Doing With My Life, 2K25: The Spring Edition. Am bringing these back for a hot minute.

1) Favourite cycling outfit. Silver makes you go faster, it’s science.

2) Honestly, you can’t go wrong with poetry, lilies and ceramic bananas in your life.

3) I went hillwalking in the Pentlands with who did not believe me when I told her THE BEST BROWNIES EVER were ‘just over the next hill’. The cafe is top-tier, and appears like a mirage when you are getting hangry after climbing a hill having only eaten Monster Munch for breakfast.

4) I finally unpacked all of my mood boards, technical samples, fabric swatches & design sketches after the studio move 3 months ago. If I can’t see it, it doesn’t exist. I need every single piece of info visible at once.

5) I am delighted to have a blossoming apple tree at the allotment that I can say ‘well done’ to multiple times a day (is this an apple tree?)

6) An impeccable lunch with impeccable company, hosted by

7) Repainting my living room pink seemed like a great idea until I had to dust all these books. Just threw them back on the shelves in absolutely no order, good luck trying to find the SCUM Manifesto now.

8) My favourite spot to hide from humanity

9) Not to diminish the importance of my blood relatives, but is the only person who knows how to do my badger stripes, so

10) Nature is healing

11) This is adorable and makes me delighted to live at the seaside

12) Pure serotonin

I was looking through shots of our ‘Sacred Places’ 23 collection at the start of January and it’s interesting to see the germ of in there. The aesthetic is completely different, but the elevated twist on traditional workwear is hiding in the wings.
This was the start of me integrating my farming and design worlds. The designs were inspired by working in the fields, the clothes were modelled by tattie roguers, and we shot it on the farm where we live in the summer. This world gives me so much joy and I can’t wait to bring you further into it. Em
