What a marvellous morning we had last week, when we visited the lovely children and teachers at St Cuthbert’s Primary School, in Seaham.

We were very impressed with the skills and creativity shown by the children, and together we made some brilliant bird boxes and fabulous bug hotels, to welcome wildlife.

The children told us all about their passion for recycling and repurposing things, and how important it is to be environmentally friendly. We couldn’t agree more!

Well done to all of the children and thank you to St Cuthbert's Primary School for such a warm welcome!

🛠️♻️ Let’s keep the Repair Week momentum going, Seaham! ♻️🛠️

Last week was , and the message is clear, repairing instead of replacing really pays off. Across the UK, two in three people spend around £277 a year replacing things they could have repaired. That adds up to a huge £15 billion nationally. 😲💸
Here in the North East, we throw away 14.2 million repairable items every year — that’s 6.4 items per person. Most of these are textiles and electricals that often only need simple fixes!

So… why not get help repairing what you already have?
