Hi all,
You might be wondering why I keep banging on about DTF printing – here’s a quick 30-second clip that shows exactly why.
They print the design (including bright whites) onto a special film, dust it with adhesive powder, cure it, then heat-press it straight onto the cotton. Result? Crisp whites that actually pop on black tees, super soft feel, and no cracking or peeling after dozens of washes.
It costs me a bit more, but I’m happy to cover that for the quality – especially on these white-on-black silhouette designs. (Nothing wrong with other methods – I might use them for future stuff – but DTF is perfect for this style.)
Full disclosure: I don’t use the exact printer in the video, but it’s a great demo of the process. I use Gelato POD – they route orders to the nearest printer worldwide, keeping things fast, local-ish, and low on shipping.
