Last Friday night we had the privilege of attending the premiere screening in Kelso of the Gamekeepers Welfare Trust documentary “In This Together” — an incredibly moving and important film addressing su***de and mental health in rural communities.
The documentary shares first-hand accounts from families affected by loss, highlighting not only the heartbreak of losing a loved one, but also the wider impact it can have on rural lives, homes, livelihoods, working dogs, and entire communities. It was honest, powerful, and a reminder of just how important it is to talk, listen, and support one another.
We would like to show our full support to the Gamekeepers Welfare Trust and all the charities and organisations involved, including , , , , and , for the incredible work they do.
At Game and Country, we are always happy to welcome anyone who wants to pop in for a chat and a coffee. We regularly have gamekeepers and others from the local community stopping by, catching up with familiar faces, and meeting new people — and this is something we would love to continue encouraging.
