To my dear customers (most of whom are also dear friends), I am closing the shop permanently at 12pm Saturday 3rd of May. It has not been an easy decision and has taken a huge amount of soul searching, but for the good of me and my family I have came to this difficult decision.
I would like to take this opportunity of thanking each and every one of you who has supported me over the last couple of decades. Your custom has genuinely been appreciated, and I hope the service I have provided has been appreciated also.
I start a full-time paid job the following week, but I will endeavour to fulfil the jobs I have committed to. Please allow me a little lee-way, timewise, and I will get the jobs completed. I am therefore not taking any new work on from this point in time.
There are still a few items needing collected and paid for. If you come to a closed door, please private message the shop page and I will arrange a convenient time to meet up with you. If you are not on Facebook, please put a note with your details on it through the letter box.
On a closing note, I’d like to encourage each and every one of you to use and support the High Street in Selkirk, life for
shop-keepers is extremely challenging at the minute, and unless they are supported, you will lose them – with little chance of them returning.
Again, thank you from the very bottom of my heart for the many, many years of custom you have given me at Turnbull’s Shoe Repairs, take care,
Colin Turnbull
