It's been over a year and a half since I shared the news that our daughter Amelia was born sleeping at full term. I wanted to reach out to thank everyone for their love and support. Losing Amelia has torn our world apart, and left us dealing with a lifetime of grief. We miss our little girl every day, but she is at the heart of our family and always will be. I continued to take my maternity leave as planned and took the time I needed to come to terms with the tragedy of losing a child.

I wanted to share the news that last year our precious Amelia sent us the greatest gift of all, a little sister. Phoebe Louise was born safely on 24th September at 14.38pm weighing 6lb 4oz. Phoebe is Amelia's little sister and not her replacement. Pregnancy after loss is the hardest thing we have had to go through after losing Amelia. The fear and anxiety we felt for 9 months was something I could have never imagined. After a short stay in NICU, SCBU and the childrens hospital, Phoebe is thriving and is a happy 7 month old.

We are slowly adjusting to being a family of four, just not how we could have ever imagined, one girl in our hearts and one in our arms.

I am on maternity leave once again and embracing every moment with Phoebe. Amelia has taught us how precious life is so I'm taking all the time I need with my beautiful girls and incredible husband before considering returning to KMR. I will let you know when I do.

Thank you for all the love, kindness and support. Kelly ###x

It has taken so long for me to write this post. Many of you may have been waiting to hear when baby Cooke arrived. Sadly, our beautiful daughter Amelia Grace Cooke was born sleeping on Friday 26th August at 4.19pm, 39 weeks and 4 days old weighing 6lbs 10.5oz.

Following the devastating news that Amelia had no heartbeat and after 26 hours of labour Amelia was stillborn just three days before her due date. My husband and I are so proud of our beautiful little girl, she was perfect and everything we could have dreamt of.

The last nine weeks has seen us enter a world we could have never imagined as new parents. Going home from hospital with a memory box instead of our daughter, having an empty nursery, planning a funeral for our little girl and grieving for the life she won’t have. Facing our future without Amelia is still inconceivable. I have made the decision to still take my maternity leave as planned as I need time to process what has happened and to heal as best I can. I won’t be taking any orders and won’t be back at work until I feel ready. I don’t know how long this will be, but I will let you all know when I am back.

We have been raising awareness of baby loss and stillbirth in Amelia’s memory. Baby loss affects so many and is barely spoken about. We have raised over £3000 in Amelia’s memory for two charities that have helped us during the last nine weeks. These are Rose cottage bereavement suite at Sheffield Hospitals Charity and Sands, the stillbirth & neonatal death charity. If anyone would like to donate in Amelia’s memory please visit our justgiving page. I have added the link below.

If anyone has been affected by stillbirth or other tragic losses the following charities may be helpful for support.

Amelia will always be a part of our family and we want to keep Amelia’s memory alive. Please don’t be afraid to say her name and ask about our little girl. Thank you to everyone that has reached out, sent cards, flowers and messages. It truly means so much to me and my husband at the worst time of our lives. Love Kelly ###

Before starting Maternity leave I have one more special KMR bride to share today. I had the pleasure of designing and making one of my oldest friend’s wedding dresses this year. Grace married Sam at Acorn Woods in the most beautiful outdoor setting with a marquee reception. It was such an honour to be a guest at their wedding and to see my lovely friend get married.

Grace chose an ivory silk crepe and corded lace bespoke KMR gown. The bodice featured a beautiful draped cowl at the front, a high neckline at the back made with corded lace and fastened with silk covered buttons. Grace also chose three quarter length lace sleeves. The A line skirt was cut on the bias with the button fastening continuing into the skirt. To finish Graces gown a detachable train was added at the back, also made in silk crepe and finished with bound detailing.

I loved Grace’s bespoke KMR wedding gown, she made such a stunning bride. Huge thank you to Aden Priest : Photographer for sharing their beautiful photos. You captured their incredible day perfectly.

So thrilled to share a selection of beautiful photos of KMR bride Beth who married Joe last October at Sheffield Botanical Gardens with a reception at Trafalgar Warehouse. After having to postpone their wedding due to covid I am so pleased they got to have their special day.

I loved designing and making Beth’s bespoke wedding dress, she looked incredible in her ivory crepe and lace gown. The bodice featured high necklines at the front and back with a full overlay of corded ivory lace. It was fastened at the back into the skirt with pearl buttons and finished at the waist seam with scallop edge lace detailing. The crepe skirt featured fit and flare seam lines and a beautiful lace panel in the train at the back which was finished with scallop edge detailing.

I loved making KMR bride Gemma’s jumpsuit for her wedding at Rudding Park Hotel to Danielle on New Years Day. Gemma chose a beautiful ivory and champagne beaded lace and an ivory crepe for her jumpsuit. It was great to work on the design with both Gemma and Danielle and I loved all the details Gemma chose.

The bodice featured a front V neckline with scallop edge detailing and a high neckline at the back with button details. The sheer lace sleeves showed the detail of the lace beautifully and fastened at the cuffs with more buttons. The back of the bodice also featured a crepe cowl. The trousers were made with crepe alongside a detachable overskirt embellished with the same lace as the bodice which gave Gemma two looks in one.

So thrilled to share some of their photos by their photographer Mat Troke Photography. He captured their day perfectly! Thank you for sharing your photos Gemma!

KMR bride Steph married Richard last year at Kelham Island Museum wearing her bespoke KMR black wedding dress. Steph's dress featured so much hand-sewing, all the lace was individually hand sew on and I loved getting to create another black wedding dress.

Steph chose a black and grey satin gown with a beaded black lace and a guipure skull pattern lace. Her dress featured panels of black and grey satin and a large train at the back. The bodice sat off the shoulder and was fastened at the back with a lace up corset fastening. The dress was finished with a large black petticoat underneath. I also had the pleasure of making Steph's cathedral length black tulle veil which featured the same skull lace as her dress.

Steph also wore an amazing tiara by our lovely friends Maggie Rose Bouquets. Photos courtesy of Laura Charity Photography.

KMR Bride Amy married Alex last December at The Millennium Gallery wearing her bespoke KMR bridal bow belt and veil. Amy also works in the wedding industry and I have known her for many years so it was an honour to be asked to make her bespoke accessories.

Amy chose a duchesse satin belt with a gorgeous large satin bow with tails at the back. The belt was embellished at the front with a crystal motif which matched the beading on her dress perfectly.

I also made Amy a chapel length veil made with a soft ivory tulle which was finished around the hem with a beaded lace edging which complemented her dress detailing perfectly. It was also finished at the comb with the same trim.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful photos by our lovely friend Key Reflections Amy.

So pleased to share a very special KMR bride today, my best friend Emma! It was an honour to design and make Emma’s bespoke wedding dress and to also be her bridesmaid! Emma married Dave in May at their local church with a reception at Little Wold Vineyard.

Emma chose a beautiful silk mix crepe backed satin gown which featured the most incredible beaded embroidery. Emma’s bodice was a V neckline with gathered details at the bust and a waistband. The back of the bodice had a low v neckline and a beaded embroidery panel fastened with pearl buttons. The shoulders were embellished with crystal embroidery motifs. The skirt featured beautiful panelling and shaping which worked perfectly with the fit and flare silhouette. The button fastening continued into the skirt at the back which also featured a train.

Emma finished her bridal look with a detachable KMR tulle cape which was made with a beautiful soft ivory tulle. I loved making Emma’s bespoke dress and bridal cape, she made such a stunning bride!

So pleased to share these stunning preview shots by M and G Wedding Photography. I can’t wait to share more photos of their amazing day and Emma’s bespoke KMR wedding dress soon.

Lovely to also work on this wedding with our lovely friend Sarah Gray Make up Artist and Wonderland Blooms

KMR bride Lauren married Andy in June this year at Mythe Barn wearing her bespoke KMR wedding dress. I loved working with Lauren to design and make her wedding dress which featured a beautiful beaded ivory lace, silk mix duchesse satin and an ivory georgette.

Lauren’s bodice had a plunging front neckline and thin straps with a low V neck at the back. The bodice and the top of the skirt were embellished with a beautiful, beaded lace which was all handsewn into place. The full circle skirt featured layers of duchesse satin and an overlay of ivory georgette and featured a large train. The dress was finished with an ivory petticoat under the skirt layers.

Thank you so much Lauren for sharing your amazing preview photos by A Big Neon Glitter Photography!

KMR bride Beth married Joe last year at their local church and had a marque reception in Beth’s parents garden. As well as making Beth’s bespoke wedding dress I also had the pleasure of designing and making her a bespoke bridal robe which was commissioned by her lovely bridesmaid.

Beth’s robe was made with a silk crepe backed satin and the same lace as her wedding dress. It was trimmed with lace around the hem and cuffs of the sleeve. I loved making this robe and hope it something that Beth can treasure and continue to wear after her wedding day. Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos by Victoria Greensmith Photography Beth.
