📣ANNOUNCEMENT TIME📣
It’s with a bit of a lump in my throat that I’m writing this post to announce that after 7 brilliant years of Trapeze Kids I’ll be closing the doors on both the Sharrowvale Rd store and online.
It’s probably of no great surprise to many of you that the last few years have been tough conditions for bricks and mortar stores on the high street and retail can be a relentless endeavour… But it’s also creative, inspiring, and full of wonderfully joyful and heartwarming interactions; Particularly when 50% of the humans coming through the door are under 6 and have zero filter!
So, it’s been an incredibly difficult decision to choose to close, and tough trading conditions are only a fraction of the story. Seven years feels like it’s been a bloody good innings, especially in light of Brexit, a global pandemic and an energy and cost of living crisis, so I’m incredibly proud to have nurtured an idea that has made it this far. However, it feels like the time is right for a new chapter!
It’s been a wild ride and a life changing project to have worked on, there are so many brilliant memories and I’ve loved watching your little people grow up with the store. To each and every one of our customers, the biggest THANK YOU; You’ve helped to make this journey an incredible one to be on, without you it wouldn’t have been possible, and for that I’ll always be wildly thankful!
A huge thanks to all the brands and suppliers we've worked with too... it's been an absolute pleasure.
Our exact closing date is still TBC but will be around the end of March so if you have any gift vouchers or loyalty points they’ll need to be used by then. In the meantime, we still have some lovely new items arriving in store for spring and I’ll be taking offers on shop furniture so if you’ve had lustful eyes for our brilliant colouring-in desk slide on into our DM’s!
Once again THANKYOU from the bottom of my heart and come shop/celebrate/commiserate with me soon…. I’m gonna miss you guys! 😘
