We managed to buy this unusual beast back today off a customer that we sold it to last year… This 1950’s beast is made from tough Military Grade Nylon, the same spec as found on early MA-1 jackets etc, lined with tan cotton and sandwiched in between the two layers is a wool interlining for extra insulation.
It’s a full length 1950’s American Heavy Nylon Parka manufactured by C.G Edwards Co Inc of Boston, Massachusetts - called ‘The Pilot’ Jacket.
The jacket features a drawstring adjustable waistband, side entry pockets, a knitted woolen collar and lower internal button fasten tab.
